I like that you can finally customize Firefox's New Tabs, but the feature is far too conservative for people to choose it over a plugin. Personally, only two updates would make me happy enough to use it.
First, Firefox's New Tab customization should allow for multiple background images at a time, which rotate each time you open a new tab ("slideshow" mode, as Tabliss calls it). In the end, the lack of that feature is the big reason I'm still using the Tabliss extension instead.
As for the second issue, Shortcuts are still displayed as big square tiles that block more of the background images than they need, and that makes background images unappealing. To fix this, you should also be able to display Shortcuts as text-only, maybe with a small favicon next to the text to replace the big white tiles.
As a bonus issue, I struggled to find my weather location until I used "St." with a period instead of "Saint" or "St [letters]". That isn't your fault but the fault of your sponsor; still it's too obtuse for many people.
Thanks.
