Firefox is breaking YouTube

Video uploads do not work, changing channel main page does not work, uploading thumbnail does not work.
Changing to Microsoft Edge solved all the problems.
Cleared all cookies and all navigation data on Firefox did not solve. Turning off all add-ons did not fix it.
This effectively makes Firefox unusable for me, please fix it.

I found your post because YouTube stopped loading for me this morning on Firefox, but it's loading in Edge and Chrome. This happened right after I updated Firefox today, 4/30/25.

Edit: Off topic, but I just noticed that Screenshots aren't working, either.

It happened to me on Librewolf (a Firefox fork) without any update to the browser. So the issue must be with Google -- not with Firefox.

but if it works on microsoft edge, can it's probably not google.

Microsoft Edge is built around the same web engine as Chrome. The same is true for Vivaldi browser. And so we can see, that all Chromium-based browsers open YT without problem, while the Mozilla-based browsers don't.

So without changing anything with FF 138.0 in regard to add-ons, today the YT site loaded as expected. I did not reboot my router, restarting FF once in Tshooting mode DID work, once, then behaved the same when attempting to load the YT site, and the YT site loaded fine in every other browser tried - except the FF one.

I'll have to assume that there was something with the YT site itself that wasn't playing well with FF? Don't know.

Same for me, worked today, all the same problems as everyone else for the past few days.  No idea.  Thanks for keeping me sane.  Strange issues.

Today, Youtube started working again! I haven't changed anything, and there was no update to my browser (a Firefox fork called Librewolf). I haven't cleared any cookies (their're not set to clear automatically), and I haven't updated uBlock filter. Same browser -- same setting, same everything -- that couldn't open YT main page yesterday, opens it without any problem today. This makes more certain that the fault was with Google and its monopolistic tactics, pushing Chrome-based browsers on everybody!

I haven't cleared coockies and disable addons again, I will later. Honestly I'm tired of logging out and in and having to say that it was me and receiving 2 mails saying that I logged in in. But as is and the videos would not upload to YouTube. So from my stand point the issue is not solved. The issue was never YouTube not loading videos. This topic was high jacked for that. I am not able to upload my videos to my YouTube by Firefox, but I am through Edge.

The issue is not fixed.
