Recently, I've noticed several posts here about problems with Firefox not working with various websites. I, too, have encountered that problem. Sites that I have had this problem with in the last few days are
tiaa-cref.org (retirement accounts, primarily for academics and educators; clicking on various items did not give the expected or any response).
mymedstar.com (Medstar is a chain of hospitals in this area and mymedstar is the patient portal; I was unable to send a message to my doctor because the drop-down menu for recipients of a message didn't work. I could see the recipient I needed, but it disappeared when I tried to select it - the page used to work just fine with Firefox).
Chrome worked fine on both sites.
I'll try to mention some others, since I haven't posted here before:
costco.com (the new member area; many different problems).
Again, Chrome worked fine with this site.
There should be at least a couple more sites in the list immediately above. Unfortunately, I can't remember them right now and Google was no help. There's a reasonable chance that I will remember them later. If I do, I'll add them here then.
Many years ago, I spent hours browbeating the author(s) of myMedstar into making their product compatible with Firefox (it took intervention from their boss to get it done). They thought that everyone should just use Internet Explorer. My problem now is that I just don't have enough time or energy to go through that with all the sites that I've started having trouble with. I'm 80 years old now and have a lot more health problems than I did then. I like Firefox, I've spent quite a lot of time tailoring Firefox for my and my wife's needs, and I don't want to be forced to move away from Firefox.

You can file compatibility issues
- via the 'Report broken site' option: see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/report-breakage-due-blocking
- on webcompat.com (https://webcompat.com/issues/new), esp. if you want to include a screenshot)

I've been having the same issue. The Ameriprise login page doesn't bring up the boxes to enter user name and password. The Sharp Honda of Topeka website freezes trying to view pictures of available vehicles. There have been other instances as well, but this issue is becoming more frequent. Everything still works with Chrome and Edge.

And 10 minutes later it's all working again. Very frustrating.
