Feedback on New Tab experimentation with Widgets!

Hi, Firefox Product Manager here 👋 

Firefox Desktop New Tab is continuing our experimentation with simple, built-in utility widgets on your New Tab page and we'd love your feedback! They’ll be there on every new tab to keep you on-task, help plan your day, or remind you to take a break.

This new experiment includes:

• Lists - jot down your reminders, errands, or a packing list
• Timer - track your study session, deep work research, or quiet break time
• Weather - the expanded weather widget provides 5 hours of forecast so you can plan your day

And everything stays local, is never shared with Mozilla, and it’s easy to turn on and off.

I don't use the internet to be productive.
I come home from my job, and I do not want to be remembered about productivity.
I use the internet to relax, to spend my free time watching videos, memes and using chat apps.
So, yeah, that's a no for me.

Really liked it! TBH I don't care about the weather, but "to-do-list" is very interesting. Hope other types of widgest - a connection with spotify, a youtube creator tab to see new comments, maybe amazon wishlist price tracker... the possibilities are infinite.

Firefox is the best browser, the new tab is awesome and minimal, I loved it

The notepad idea is pretty good, just a single scratchpad would be nice.

Ms. Amber Meryman, I loved this update! The lists help me with my work tasks and the timer helps me manage my study time at home. Having all of this natively in the browser, without extensions, is a great help. Thank you very much from Brazil.

Hi Amber. A little improvement for the timer in my opinion, would be an event sound when it finishes. Even thou there is a notification, some people doesn't pay that much attention to those. A little bell or something like that... well, it's my ADHD speaking anyway. This may not apply for everyone. 
Beyond that, the widgets idea is cool. I hope you don't add "news" to this.

Hola me gustaría que fuesen íconos en línea igual y a continuación a los accesos directos a nuestros favoritos, con más opciones para elegir ya que cada uno tiene sus preferencias o necesidades de uso, además sería de menor impacto visual, estos son demasiado molestos por el tamaño. Igual celebro la idea!.

Eu sempre quis um widget que me permitisse ter um relógio em 3D na tela, estilo Big Ban inglês, em números romanos e moldura vitoriana. E também seria interessante haver um espaço ou outro widget que mostrasse em tempo real a velocidade aproximada de downloads e uploads

The timer is a great tool. But I would like that I can configure it as a cycle timer with focus and break, I mean, when I'm working on the computer, the medical staff suggested to rest at least a few minutes every one or two hours, to do some stretching, walking and eyes excersises. So, it would be great If the timer have those two settings: one for focus followed by the break time with no need to "play", and some kind of alert or sound to warn you. And I prefer this not in a new tab, but in some kind of icon bellow the tab bar (like the extensions icons).

Well, the basic calculator would be nice too.

Just discovered it and can imagine myself using it! 
It would be great if I could select a task as in "doing", but not mark it checked yet. So I can select it, start my timer and when it's done check it as "done".

I'd like a way to pin specific Bookmarks, Bookmark Folders and Tags within or alongside the shortcuts section.

Folders and tags should offer different display styles like:

• Dropdown/Pop-over: A single icon (like a standard shortcut) that opens a grid view of the contained bookmarks.
• Grid view: One icon for each contained bookmark, visually delimited by the Folder or Tag name.

Quick and dirty example:

ToDo would benefit from a resize handle so i can make it use more than a small 300x300 box on my screen. 
maybe make the layout panel based rather than grid so i can resize and lay them out as i want.
