Downloads disappearing on 157 update.

Hello to all. 

Yesterday, after the 157 update, I can no longer download files from anywhere. They completely disappear. All my settings are correct: Still says "ask", but curiously, the default destination, "downloads" cannot be changed. There is the "choose..." button but nothing happens when clicking on it. 

I don't want to go back to Chrome, but will have to b/c this is a total disruption to my work life. 

If anyone knows of a fix or if Mozilla plans to fix this soon, please lmk. I'm on Mac, still running Sequoia b/c mine is the intel chip. Thanks much!

Same problem.  Version 157.0 Build ID 20260924084938. Running under Sequoia 15.8.1 (24H32) on an M1 Silicon 14-inch, 2021 MBPro. Downloads begin, but do not prompt for save as despite config. For each attempt, a small file ending in ".part" is created in ~/Downloads/.
