I am a long time Firefox user - and make use of Firefox as default browser on all my computers and my mobile. I have just had to 'reset' Windows 11 (i.e. reinstall) on one of my machines due to a error caused by a Microsoft Update.
Firefox was the default browser on this machine. After the reset, Microsoft listed all the software that was installed on the machine before the reset was started. Disgracefully - and most likely deliberately - they did not include Firefox in that list. It is about time they stopped this sort of childish behaviour. They used to be the same about Linux, but have at least grown up enough to have their own distribution.
Oddly enough, they did include Chrome (I only need that to access my local library web site).

Thanks for note. We are aware of this issue and working on it. I don't think it's deliberate... more likely a bug in Windows Backup or Firefox's compatibility with it. We do see Firefox restore sometimes, and sometimes not. The Microsoft Store version of Firefox restores reliably.
