I`m on version 135.0
Let me Disable permanently new tab layout
I wouldnt mind if the logo was on the sides and if icons did not get smaller, but as is , it is a no go
Already tried :
1.
browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabLayouts.variant-a
browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.newtabLayouts.variant-b
value false
2. New Tab Layout Variant B and Content Card UI Release Rollout - Global•Complete
Solved! Go to Solution.

Same problem. I'm on Firefox 136. None of the things you listed worked. None of the other hacks from earlier versions worked either. Editing usercontent.css did nothing to the logo either.
My solution was to TURN OFF WEB SEARCH BAR in the firefox settings - home page. This nuked both the Firefox logo and the web search. I know this isn't the ideal solution, since one could conceivably want the web search bar but don't want the FF logo. But I decided to live with having no web search bar if it means not having the giant FF logo. I could of course always just do web search in the URL bar so no biggie.
