The new built-in Fakespot functionality is now presenting in-my-face recommendations about reviews on shopping sites like Amazon.
Fakespot's analysis is frequently objectively and provably wrong. I have already encountered several cases where Fakespot reports terrible review quality and very low product ratings where the actual reviews are clearly reasonable and thoughtful.
No, I'm not a seller. Never sold a thing on Amazon in my life. No, I'm not a shill. I'm a long-term Firefox user and Amazon shopper who is seeing objectively terrible results from Fakespot. I'm now recommending to friends and family that they NOT rely on this feature, because it is so obviously wrong so often.
Please disable this functionality until the quality can be improved to the point where it's actually worthwhile.
