This new profile seems interesting and I was waiting for feature like this.
But I have been using multiple profiles using that about:profiles features.
Now I can create the new profile for the default one. But I can't create new profile for other profiles.
And probably few months / year later, we may remove the about:profiles in favor of about:newprofile. So is there or should there be options to create about:newprofile from existing profiles on about:profiles.

Try this to transfer old profile to new:
Open the old profile
- FF menu > Help > More Troubleshooting Information
- under the Application Basics section next to Profile Folder, click 'Open Folder'
Create a new profile with the new Profile Manager
- open the profile folder the same way as above
- close FF
- delete the contents of the new profile folder
- copy the contents of the old profile folder and paste it into the new profile folder

No, it did not work.
It started acting weird, I used to get the new profile select on opening the firefox. Now, It does not appears. It does have the switch profile option on FF menu, but when I switch to the profile, it does not have the options, and it act as same old profile, no about:editprofile there.
And for some moment, There was just the new profile, and my about:profiles was all null. But Right click on FF icon and open profile manager saves the day.

Yeah, the profile systems are different so they can't all be seen at one place.

I totally second this.
I tried fiddling with the profile folders but it did not work. On the other side I found myself with some profiles that required some more fiddling before to delete. 🙂
