I just got an email from Google:
And the status of my extension in Google's webstore is now "Warned". Plus I lost the featured status.
It seems like it's no longer feasible to maintain one universal extension for both browsers. Now we either need to maintain two versions separately or FF can just take the service_worker entry and use it as a background script?
