Just had a UPDATE that was not requested & it removed all bookmarks & menus. When you contact FireFox chat about the update defects, you get diverted into a fraudulent tech support pay where you unknowingly join a monthly prepaid tech support system called Just Answer in order to recover your data. Now, the tech was helpful, but did not know anything about the Update Defect, or what charges would be applied to your credit card for the fix. After being told in writing, there will be a $5 fee, that is refundable, for reporting a software defect, you find out providing credit card info for the $5 fee, is really a $5 plus $65 monthly, until you catch the charges. Mozilla need to make changes in this process, & better explanations to it's users, and users need to beware. This user is an investigative photo journalist & I will be looking into this.
