I’m really annoyed by the automatic translation feature. Being quadrilingual and trying to enhance my knowledge of other languages, it’s just disturbing to have a web page translated automatically. Sometimes I have to search and click too many options in order to have the original page displayed. Is it possible to completely deactivate this function? If need be, I can use Google Translate by myself.

Thanks I've been looking for a solution for that myself.

The feature shouldn't automatically translate a page unless it was configured to do so. If you go to about:settings and click Settings... next to translations, you can configure which languages automatically translate. On a new installation a popup will show offering a translation if the page is in a different language than the browser, but it shouldn't do it automatically.
You can also disable the offering through the gear menu on the popup.

Hi, I suggest editing about:settings to about:preferences.
