Thunderbird, option/alt-drag to duplicate event, Windows

Thunderbird, Windows. It would be nice to be able to duplicate a calendar event by dragging it while holding Alt. When I do this now, there is a '+' sign that appears on the cursor as if to signify it will be added, but then it only moves the event,  not duplicates it. And/or adding a contextual popup shortcut to 'duplicate event' could be added.
