Swiping between open tabs would be wonderful. Implementation could be exactly how it's done in Safari.

If you're in private mode then swiping would only be between private tabs. Swiping normal tabs would only navigate between normal tabs.

This is not the same as https://connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/swipe-between-tabs-private-tabs-and-synced-tabs/idc-p/473#M245, which asks for swiping between all open and all private tabs.

In Safari, when the address bar is placed on the bottom, you can swipe on the address bar in the following ways:

  • Swipe left/right to switch between tabs
  • Swipe left within the last tab to open a new tab
  • Swipe up to open the tab overview

Adding this behavior to Firefox would be really great.  The current behavior of having to click the tab button to switch between tabs feels clunky in comparison.

Feature would allow the user to swipe left or right on the tab drawer to view all open tabs more efficiently without opening the tab windows entirely. Great for 1 hand use.

Why does android have this but not iOS? Safari can do it so clearly it’s possible.

Swiping through tabs

We need swiping through open tabs on iOS, with creation of new tabs when on the last opened tab. Please make this a thing. Safari has it, don’t let Apple beat you Mozilla.

Man that's like the only thing keeping me from daily driving Firefox iOS as I hate how long it takes to switch tabs there. Firefox iOS is kinda getting neglected and I get that you it's because apple doesn't allow Gecko on iOS but if the iOS version isn't treated the same way I'm not gonna daily drive it. So annoying you guys have to put up with this but maybe a firefox sync extension for safari would be better then but I think you're already too comitted

I’d love to see it added to FF.

This is the only reason why i keep using Safari. It’s much more intuitive and fast.

Please yes. The only reason I’m still on chrome is the lack of ANY browser supporting this apart from Chrome and Safari on iOS, and Safari is useless on non-Apple.
