When I decide to save an image from the web, I right click and chose save image as. The dialog which opens has a VERY tiny name field. Precious few existing names ever fit in the field. And, when I select the text to rename the file, quite often all text gets selected, including the extension. Since I could not see the extension because the field is so small, I have no idea what it is. I have to manually highlight and delete the file name first, then key in the new one.
Ideally, the file name field size would correspond to the width of the browser window. Currently it is a fixed width.

I think that is a custom Finder window. Is it any different for Save Page As... (Command+S)?
Hopefully the developers can send instructions to Mac OS to make that field bigger (I don't know how it works). I assume saving files in other applications makes better use of all that empty space.
