I frequently have to copy the TEXT of a url/link, and currently I have to highlight the link, then use copy to get the text into the clipboard. It would be very useful, and I think simple to program, an additional choice to the right click menu on a url/link, the ability to just copy the text directly into the clipboard. Currently, there is a "copy link" but no "copy link text".

Hi, do you mean a button or menu item to copy text selected in the page?

Firefox has an optional cut/copy/paste button set available in the Customize panel that you can drag to the toolbar. More info on Customize: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/customize-firefox-controls-buttons-and-toolbars

Firefox also has Cut, Copy, and Paste on the right-click context menu depending on the context of the selection (for example, you can copy from non-editable areas, and you can use all three commands in editable areas).

Hello, this request was submitted more than a year ago. It was never solved and subsequently closed. This feature for Firefox on Android is a must. Needless to say, practically all the other browsers on Android that use Blink have this feature. Don't understand why it can't/won't be implemented under Gecko. Please advise. Thx.

Hello, will the Mozilla team ever look into this issue...? Thanks.

Hello, what you say is true, but it doesn't reflect the issue. In order to copy the link text as it stands right now you need to select the text of the link. This cumbersome on desktop and a nightmare on mobile. What we're asking here is the ability to right click on the link (on desktop), and long press on the link (on mobile l) and have the resulting popup to include the option to copy the link text. That is all. Fire up Chrome or any browser based on Chrome's engine and you will see what I mean
