When you bring up dev tools (inspector, debugger, network, etc), that whole panel does not have the ability to use the Firefox built in screenshot tool. Of course you can use your OS level screenshot function, but it would be nice to be able to use the internal one. Big fan of how it names files with web site info etc

Hi Kelly, if I understand the problem, you would like to take a screenshot showing the visible parts of the page and DevTools together. Currently, the Screenshot tool can only run in ordinary web pages, and doesn't "see" the DevTools panel (which is a separate "document" from the page).

I like the idea. Another option (as opposed to taking a screenshot of page & DevTools together) could be taking a screenshot of individual panels. E.g. introducing a new "Copy as Image" menu item in panel's context menu (could copy the entire panel including the part hidden behind scrollbars). There are already various existing "Copy to clipboard" actions (e.g.  in the Console, Inspector on Network panels) so, this could be nice extension.

There is an existing bug report for this here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1744373

Feel free to comment on that bug

I'm on Firefox Nightly, and there is a screenshot tool. At first, it was possible to take a screenshot of whatever size rectangle you wanted. As you moved your mouse, it would highlight an area that you then could click on it, and expand the sides, top and bottom parameters to encompass what you wanted to copy. Now you have the choices, ''whole page'' or ''visible'', or it will highlight areas as you move the mouse, click on that, but now it gives you no options to change the parameters.

I preferred the tool when it had more options.

you're right! I am also facing the same problem and there is no option to change the parameters.
