Reduce RAM consumption

I have noticed that Firefox consumes much more RAM than other browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.

Even editors like XDA have noticed this high RAM consumption Google Chrome vs. Mozilla Firefox: Which desktop browser is better .

I would like Firefox to be optimized in terms of memory consumption as well.

Same issue. Windows 11 laptop, only running one private youtube tab each on Firefox and Edge, same video. Firefox ram consumption is 1200 MB, and Edge is at 800 MB.

Is this because of windows 11?
