The most sought after feature in Firefox for Android is the translation feature. Mozilla can meet this request by adding the following translation plugin to the default plugins.

Tested on Firefox Nightly for Android and works fine. It can make instant translations without opening a new page.

https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-translations  What is gonna happen with this idea post? It says on github that the add-on will be discontinued and be focused in inbuilt translation. But what does that mean for firefox android because on android it's still only available with about:config.

Thanks for adding page translations natively in Firefox desktop.

Are there any plans to bringing the this feature to Firefox for Android?

When can we expect this desktop feature to come to mobile? Looks like it's been in desktop for a while, and the extension version was working in nightly but is no longer maintained after integration into desktop. This leaves mobile users in a lurch, and is a pretty big feature gap compared to the competition at this point.

@uselessdevice we have a thread here for that request:

Page Translator for Firefox Android

We'll share updates and timelines there when available (I'll also reach out to the team now to see if there is anything recent to share 😀).

@Jonyes please i like to use it without about:config that only works with automatic translation. Btw is it coming at the same time in firefox focus or is that coming later?
