The new translate addon is really cool. I would like to see a feature for translating a highlighted word or phrase.

Flow: highlight word/phrase > right click > select "Translate '<word/phrase>'"

I think the simplest way to do this would be to copy the highlighted text into the popup window of the extension.

@Jeppie thanks for following up! Let me reach out to that team to learn more. If there are any updates to share, we'll add them here: Translation Add-on Firefox for Android

Android is supported in the last version, and can be installed through a collection.

@JeppieIt seems you are still using version 1.2.0, while Android support was introduced on 1.3.2, which is the latest version available on AMO. Please try to update it and let us know how it goes.

@Andre_Natal i couldn't find a update button so i reinstalled it and now it works. I have some extra questions first why do i have 2 firefox-translations add-ons?(look at previous picture). Second do you know if there is a date when Japanese is getting added. Third is firefox-translations coming to firefox focus?

Hi @Jeppie , I'm glad to know it worked for you. The two buttons have different purposes: the one labeled as "Firefox Translations" aims to open the translation interface bar in the page. The one labeled as "Text Translations" is used to open the free-form translation popup.

You can see a demo of how to use it here: https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-translations/#demo-1

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for your other questions at this moment.
