Thunderbird - toggle between different folders - without need for a folder pane

Thanks for the amazing product. Using it for the last decade. The recent improvements are very good. I would like to see a UI feature wherein we can switch between Inbox, Sent Items, Drafts etc. within a single email account without having the folder pane. Something like a drop-down menu in the message list header. This will increase the horizontal space and make it more comfortable to work within the respective folder. This could be extended to other tabs like RSS feeds also.
