It seems that a main feature of future operating system versions will be using AI for querying local documents.
But I'm concerned that this will harm data privacy and security of the users by using an external AI service or sending insights from the user data to the manufacturer of the operating system for "advanced user experience" (marketing).
Therefore, to give the user a better alternative, I dare suggesting a new Mozilla app with two main features by using a local AI model:
The scope of the search could by limited by tags, folders, locations or file types.
The result should show the source, since LLMs tend to "blend" things inappropriately.
The app would be something like an artificial personal mind and could support working processes and research.
It could also be an effective browser for your personal data and acquired bookmarked knowledge. Which remained unused, since it wasn't accessible due to its size gained over the years.
Perhaps it could create a personal knowledge graph for navigation.

(The name of the app is just a suggestion. 🙂)
