In long email chains, Thunderbird indents the earlier email and adds a vertical colored line on the left side. In long email chains, the earliest emails get pushed way off to the right and colored lines keep accumulating as shown in the attached image. This continuously indented formatting and color vertical lines makes it harder to read and if printing, it wastes paper.

Would be good to have options to: 1) not indent earlier emails, and 2) use a horizontal line to separate each mail in the chain.

Thanks.

Hi - thanks for this.  I have an active userChrome.css and I tried the code in it but it didn't work. I also changed the 3 values in the config editor but no luck either.  I noticed the css code is from 2016 so wonder if it no longer works in v.115.

It's not userChrome.css, it's userContent.css

Ugh - I should learn to read.  Thanks, it did work.  It doesn't fully move left all indented past emails in a chain but maybe that's not possible, but it did get rid of the vertical lines.
