When searching for a bookmark in Manage Bookmarks, Firefox doesn't show the folder containing the bookmark(s) that were found. It would be helpful if Firefox showed the folder where the existing bookmarks are found.
BMS+ 2 is dead now, what a pity! With FF built in BM-manager you are able to create bookmarks too of course. You can even create folders to gather bookmarks of specific themes to separate folders. But: Let's say you've got a hundred folders with different themes after some years - yes then you will only be able to find a specific bookmark - but there will be no possibility to show the path of the found bookmark - as far as i can see.Bookmarks search plus - on the other hand - always showed the bookmark in the folderpath - not only the result of the search itself. Would be VERY nice if you could implement this simple 'system operating function' to FF.Thank you very much!pro

Hi, I assume you mean this extension:
It is still there, so I'm not clear on the problem. Did it stop working for you in Firefox 100?
Regarding identifying the folder, Firefox recently got a new context menu option. After you conduct your search, right-click the bookmark and choose Show in Folder to flip the view back to the folder hierarchy with that bookmark selected.
It is crucial to be able to search by bookmark-folder name.
Would this help? Adding to what jscher2000, when you do a search in the bookmark manager, right click on a result, and you will see the option "Bookmark Path". A mouse hover will reveal the folder
Probably there are already hidden replies on this, but just in case...
Firefox recently got a right-click context menu item for bookmark search results that says "Show in Folder".
That will cause Firefox to navigate to that folder and show its contents on the right with the search result highlighted.
But obviously this isn't ideal if you wanted to investigate several bookmarks at once because it removes your search results. It could be better.
Thanks. I see the right-click content menu that is very unintuitive. As you said, selecting the "show in folder" feature looses the results of the search. A much better feature would be to show the name of the folder along with the other information already listed for the bookmark.
I have hundreds or even thousand bookmarks with folders and it would really help if folders would show up in the search bar.
It would appear as a column to select to show. E.g., between Name and Tags.
Firefox Bookmark Search-return folders as well as bookmarks
Currently, the book =mark search (LHS nale) for (in my case, acs returns a list of bookmarks, as it should.
However, I would like it also to return:-
1. Enclosing folders as well
2. Folders with (in the example) acs in their name.
Happy to discuss this further, but, I often want to add a new book mark or folder to whatever the folder was that contained a particular book mark..
