I personally find the translation option offered in firefox very useful: no need to switch tab, or to use an LLM for a simple translation, and still the provided result is generally context-accurate.

[I mostly use the pop-up feature instead of the whole page translation, both because i find the translations imperfect, and to further improve my language skills]

One feature i find annoying however is the seemingly incapability of the translator pop-up window to effectively recognize the selected language when it consists of very short-context (think one or two words). It always reverts back to English by default, and it can get tedious to specify 10 times in a row that the language in question is not english

Hence my proposal:

- allow for more flexibility in the use of the translator by enabling the user to specify in the translation setting which should be the default source language, and which should be the default output language.
