This feature works by using Ranger header technology to spiit download into multiple parts and download at the same time, for example 8GB Windows ISO can be splitted into 8 1GB parts and download at the same time, which speeds up download significantly.
If Firefox want to get back marketshare, Firefox needs to be innovative, you can't be in the safe zone forever, implement features that people desire.
