Status: New idea

Hi, this is just a simple concept that could be further elaborated, I guess.

The idea is to make easy to share things between Mozilla Accounts users.

For instance, in my family we mostly use Firefox, each one with its own Mozilla Account, so, it would be great to share tabs/links between Mozilla Accounts as we do between devices inside a single account.

In this way, a group of friends or family could relate/link their individual Mozilla Accounts which would enable them to send for instance tabs/links/URLs/ to a 'Mozilla Contact' (?) active session, i.e., send a tab directly from my Firefox open session to the one of a friend/family instead of having to send the link via some other medium.

We could simply Sync a 'Mozilla Agenda/Contacts' with those Mozilla Accounts users who have authorized such interaction and the sent tab would inform from which contact it comes from.

This could be done also from Bookmarks and Pocket maybe.

Finally, we could even allow some form of chat between Mozilla Accounts users. Maybe implementing something like Tox or Jami, or using Mastodon as a bridge (specially now that Mozilla has its own instance in the ActivityPub network). This should be E2E encrypted, which is already the case with Jami/Tox.

I will stop here because this is just a very first draft, so, I hope if there's interest it would be refined/fixed/developed through community conversation. 🙂

Kind regards, everybody!

PS: maybe this could be first tested as an add-on for Nightly/Beta?
