With Pocket being gone and being replaced with Recommended stories, I was thinking about this concept.

These Recommended stories are all initiated and in some way pushed by Mozilla. Some people might not enjoy this, so luckily it's possible to opt-out.

On the other hand I sometimes find it enlightening to see articles of interest, like the holiday I am currently planning.  What if these articles are based on the users' interests/labels, wouldn't that be the best way to ‘target’ users interests? So not based on (tracking) cookies, history, open tabs, etc., but only the users' controlled interests/labels. The users will of course have the ability to add/edit/delete these interests at all time or maybe even set an expiry date, like past the holiday season.

This is a good way to put the user in control.
