Recently I realized that I cannot edit or just copy a part of the URL inside the address bar, because whenever I try to do so Firefox copies the pre-edited URL (which isn't even in the address bar anymore). It's so annoying, because now in order to have an edited URL, I have to copy it into another document, remove parts which I don't need (and some URLs are miles long) and then open another tab on another screen to have both the original and the edited URL to compare. It's so many extra steps for something, which used to be so simple.

I have been using Firefox to promote diversity in browser engines and avoid a monopoly by Chromium-based browsers. That's the sole reason why I have been using Firefox on my Android mobile and laptop for the past couple of years. These types of security gimmicks will only irritate users and push them to switch to another browser.
