Request to display the full URL text for link previews, instead of only the top level domain / subdomain.

  • [connect.mozilla.org/t5/ideas/idb-p/ideas] vs. [connect.mozilla.org]

Previously, long tapping on a link would display both a visual preview of the page (with option to disable link previews in settings) and the full link URL text, in addition to the options to open the link in a new tab, bookmark the link, etc.

Please add back the full text of URLs when long pressing on a link on iOS. If not, at least add an option in settings to re-enable this feature.

The full URL is essential context when considering opening a link. Thank you.

_Not_ displaying the full URL (or at least having the option) is a hard NO for me.  I’ve used Firefox for literally decades so I’d rather stay, but NO.  If I learn that you’ve given the option back, I’ll probably return, but right now my usage will be limited to pages that Vivaldi won’t load.

I also would very much like the full URL to be displayed when long-pressing a link (whether or not link previews are enabled). I constantly relied on this functionality, and was dismayed when it suddenly disappeared.
