Hi Mozilla Design Team, I am writing to propose a collaboration to include the ORGANICDiscordia (OD) Collection in the official Firefox Home (New Tab) background gallery. About the Project: ORGANICDiscordia is a series of abstract photographic works created through high-end macro photography of real-world physical subjects. This project is a celebration of human vision and technical skill: 100% Authentic Photography: No generative AI is used. Each piece captures the unique textures and light interactions that only a real lens and a physical subject can produce. Bilingual Identity: The works feature titles in a mix of Italian and English, reflecting the international and European soul of the project. Regarding Portfolio and Firefox Integration: The Google Drive link below contains the complete artistic versions of the works, including the "OD" mark, original titles (e.g., #17 ATHĒNÂ Burnout), and logos. Important Note on Branding: I am presenting these files in their full artistic form for your review. However, if the project is accepted, I am fully prepared to adapt the images for official Firefox use by removing all titles, logos, and branding. I will provide "Clean" high-resolution versions that meet Firefox's UI guidelines and formatting standards. Each time I create a new sub-folder (whether under Local Folders, a sub-folder in Local Folders, or in an IMAP-folder or sub-folder), I have to manually apply the "Apply Columns to" and "Apply View to" of the upper folder to each such new sub-folder, OR set new Columns and View options to such new sub-folder. I suggest that, each sub-folder is automatically assigned the Columns and View options of the upper-folder with the option available to the User to change Columns and View. ... View more

Dear Thunderbird Developers, Since I started organizing my tasks via CalDAV in Thunderbird, I've been missing one feature in particular: "Subtasks." Thunderbird currently cannot display subtasks. Is there a specific reason why this now common feature is missing in Thunderbird? A subtask is normally displayed indented below the main task. When I create a subtask in the cloud (Nextcloud), it's currently displayed in Thunderbird as a regular task without any association, i.e., treated as a normal task. This is obviously inconvenient for task management, as it's not uncommon for a task to contain multiple subtasks. As a workaround, I'm currently writing the subtasks in the description text, but it would be much better if a subtask could simply be checked off after completion 👉 see example attached. Steps to reproduce: Copy an image to the clipboard using any screenshot tool (e.g., Flameshot, Gnome-screenshot) on Linux. Open a web application that allows multiple file uploads and checks for duplicate filenames (such as Google Gemini). Paste the image using Ctrl+V. The browser automatically assigns it the generic filename "image.png" (or "bild.png" in the localized Swedish version). Take a new, different screenshot to the clipboard. Paste the new image into the same input field. Expected behavior: The browser should generate a unique filename for each pasted clipboard image (for example, by appending a timestamp or a counter like image_1.png , image_2.png ). This would allow web applications to recognize them as distinct files. Actual behavior: Firefox assigns the exact same static filename ("image.png" or "bild.png") to every image pasted from the clipboard. As a result, web apps assume the user is trying to upload the same file twice. It either overwrites the first image or rejects the second one completely. This breaks the workflow for power users, making it impossible to paste multiple screenshots into the same chat prompt without manually saving them to disk first. Feature request: Local calendar and contact synchronization (similar to Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer) Hello Thunderbird Team, first of all thank you for the great work on Thunderbird. It has become a very powerful and modern mail client. However, there is one feature that is currently missing and that prevents some users from switching completely from Outlook to Thunderbird. Many users rely on synchronization tools such as the Outlook CalDAV Synchronizer. These tools allow synchronization between local calendars/contacts and multiple CalDAV/CardDAV servers (for example Google, Synology NAS, or other DAV servers). The important functionality is: Synchronization with existing local calendars and address books Two-way synchronization Synchronization with multiple servers simultaneously Local data acting as the primary source Servers acting as backup or mirror In Thunderbird, CalDAV and CardDAV are well supported, but they always create separate remote calendars and address books. There is currently no way to synchronize them with existing local calendars or contacts. Such a feature would make Thunderbird much more attractive for users who want to keep a local master copy while synchronizing with several servers for redundancy and backup. When I start Thunderbird, the request for the main password prompt appears, if you click on cancel there, Thunderbird still starts, wouldn't it be better if you had an option that cancels the startup process completely, if you changed your mind and didn't want to start Thunderbird or accidentally. ... Firefox needs to save the old passwords so a user can lookup previously used passwords.  Now that many work/medical/financial websites require routine updates to passwords, I need to be able to see 3 or 4 versions back so I don't accidentally reuse one too soon.  I was trying to look up an old password and it would be really convenient if I could see previously used passwords once I was logged into my browser.  Maybe you protect that view with a application level password so a visiting user can't peek at them. ... I use a lot of pages as my homepage pages on firefox launch. However, whenever I open a new window, it reopens all those pages and adds a lot of unnecessary friction closing all but one to have a new window. It would be great to have a toggle option to separate new window startup pages to be able to choose what that shows (the same way what new tabs show is customizable) when firefox is already running instead of opening the homepage pages a second time.  Thanks for reading! ... Currently all startup pages launch as normal tabs, it would be very convinient and reduce a lot of friction if the tabs that will always be needed on launch and always remain open start pinned instead of having to manually pin them on every launch. (Also would be good to have a keyboard shortcut to pin/unpin current tab). So ideally add an option to choose which of the startup pages launch as pins and which launch normally.   ... View more

The idea itself is simple enough (though uncertain about the implementation).  It is definitely a very minor nitpick (and I'm even wondering if it's only a "me" thing) : when pdfjs.forcePageColors is true, highlighter becomes limited to only yellow, even if custom highlighter colors have been setup. This should be possible to change, since the pencil tool in the PDF editor can still use color (and be used with transparency, making it functionnaly the same as the highlighter except for the fact it can't be commented on and can't be used directly on text. ... The WebDAV Push specification lets CalDAV (calendar) and CardDAV (address book) servers notify clients instantly about changes. Android application DAVx5 supports it, and there is a Nextcloud app DAV Push that adds support for that to Nextcloud calendars and address books. Calendar server RustiCal also supports DAV push. It would be nice if Thunderbird's calendar would also support this, so that new calendar entries made on my mobile phone instantly sync to the desktop. It is really dumb to require Firefox be started up in "Normal" mode in order to set it up to be started in "Safe" mode. What is a user suppose to do if Firefox WON'T start up in "Normal" mode? There is an urgent need for an option in Firefox that allows quick access to the clipboard. This option exists in Windows but is not available in all systems such as Linux. With this option, Firefox would allow users to easily paste text and image content. The option should be easy to access, for example: via the browser address bar, or via the sidebar. And perhaps an emoji panel could be included for quick selection. People have been requesting "split view" feature of firefox browser, to split into 2 views (horizontally). Currently Google Chrome supports this feature. However, it is not enough, please make firefox support up to 4 split views which can be spited horizontally and vertically.
