In sub folders thunderbird sorts mail by day of the month first. This is not helpful - better mails should be sorted by year-month-day.

Hello!, With the increase of fediverse utilization I would like to pitch resolution of fediverse usernames. What I mean by this is that if someone were to enter in their browser a handle such as @social@mozilla.social The browser automatically resolve and land the user on the profile of the individual https://mozilla.social/@social This would be really useful when communicating fediverse handles between people!

#Thunderbird - Please include folder/thread pane formatting (font type, font size, row height, space between rows, font colour, background colour) in Settings. The default settings a very user unfriendly and many don't have the IT skills to fiddle with css (I don't even know what it is...) Also allow a rearrangement of the order of folders within an account without having to get an add-on (which may become unusable anyway as new TB updates are rolled out).

Currently it's possible to easily find what security issues have been fixed in a new version of certain software. But as a security advisor to my organization I'd like to be able to say "look, we're using version x, but the newest version, x + 5, has fixed these issues". So I'd like to see a page that shows all fixes since a specific version. For example, if we're using FF ESR 91.5, I enter this version on the website and I'm shown that the current version is ESR 91.12 and what which fixes have been introduced since 91.5. This way I can tell the those who are response to update because a critical bug has been fixed which does impact us. How is this different from the current advisories? For example, take https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/mfsa2022-29/, this page shows security fixes since the previous versions, not the version we're using.

When i click on the box to the right of the url bar (the box that displays the number of open tabs) and select the synced devices option it shows all devices and tabs under each device name in a expanded view, having many Firefox versions across many devices this view makes it a real finger exercise, and slow, trying to find a specific device name and then the tab that you are looking for beneath that device. This is default behavior on Android Firefox 105.1.0, Beta 105.0b6, Nightly 107.0a1 as of today at least. Same goes for Firefox 105 on IOS and iPadOS. On Android Nightly (And IOS 105) there is a arrow that a user can press to collapse the view to only show the names of synced devices. But doing so it will not remember this view setting so the next time i visit the same page all devices and synced pages are expanded once again. This whole process makes it quite annoying as a user with multiple Firefox installs/versions on several devices. (But seeing as this is only available in Nightly and IOS maybe it is still WIP?) `. Tl;dr: If i set my view preference as shown in attached screenshot, i want Firefox to remember that. The collapsed view makes it in my opinion a lot easier and faster to continue with whatever tab i have open on another device. And to be clear i´m not proposing that collapsed should be the default, rather that Firefox should at least respect the view i have set on a per device basis.

Good idea to add frequently used functions to the toolbar. Bad idea taking up more screen real-estate, which is a premium on mobile phones. Suggestion: turn address bar into an address bar button that expands the address bar when tapped (maybe give it the magnifying glass icon), then move the new buttons to the original bar.

I propose being able to quickly change the default search engine straight from the url/search bar. I felt like changing my default search engine today, since my usual was annoying me lately. I expected I could right click one one of the search engine options at the bottom of the search dropdown, and select to set it as the default from a context menu option, but I couldn't do that. I think I'd like to be able to.

Everything is fine, but automatic mail synchronization is really missing... for example, Thunderbird is installed on 2 or 3 computers, if on one you deleted a letter, or created a folder or filter, etc.. then on the second or third nothing happens, you need to do everything manually.. please consider this idea

Thunderbird: Is it possible to add possibility to change Theme of received mail? Example: Sender: 'John', Theme: 'Bill for components' If I know that John works at AAA company, I prefer to change the Theme of received letter as 'AAA, bill for cable' to understand, what this letter is about without opening it.

When you press and hold the tab manager icon in safari, a menu pops up with options to open/close a tab, add it to a tab group, etc. you just flick your finger to the action, you don’t need to lift it.

With the new tab system on microsoft's file explorer it's very annoying that, for example, when i download something and press the button to open the folder the file it's in, Firefox opens a new explorer window no matter if i already have one open. In my opinion if a window is already open whatever firefox wants to show it should be on a new tab.

It would be nice if you could add a feature that could be turned on and off and adjustable time limits that would automatically close the browser window after a set amount of time that can be adjusted by the user and have an option to save the open browser tabs. I find that I often forget to close the browser when I leave the house or go to bed only to find that it's still open when I get up. I like leave my computer on overnight because I have it set up to do a lot of the automatic updates and some maintenance routines overnight after I go to bed.

Dear developers, I am writing to suggest removing notification in the address bar, when the new tab is controlled by third-party add-on. This notification is annoying and does not add aesthetic value to the new page. Alternatively (if this suggestion is against some intrinsic Firefox philosophy) it would be good to have an opportunity to use custom wallpapers in both desktop and mobile versions. If implemented, it would be nice if tabs were semi-transparent and changed their color hue based on current wallpaper (similar to Yandex Browser).

Currently, in browsers such as Chrome, it is possible to customize the browser's scroll bar. But this is not possible in firefox. Please add it.

I think that it would be a nice function, when firefox had some sounds (5 or 6 for example) already installed, so that the user can simply change the sound - one example is in the link below. I have several mail accounts added in Thunderbird. All of them have a lot of folders. I need several of them everyday, and which folder is relevant changes frequently. To manage, I bookmarked the principal folder of all inboxes. It would become very laborious to set all needed folders as bookmarks, and this would be outdated quickly. Furthermore, I sometimes need folder another than one of the favorites. Therefore, I currently scroll the entire list of folders all the times. I would love to have the possibility to jump to a folder in the navigation pane, e.g., by right-clicking a bookmarked folder (see screenshot two). This should scroll the folder list towards the original folder. As a plus, a further great improvement would to stick the section of bookmarked folders at the top of the navigation pane. Maybe this is doable easily? It would improve a lot my handling of mails in Thunderbird, and I suppose, of all other users with several inboxes. Thank you!

Over-ride time feature and duckduckgo extension would be epic! I dont like choromium based browser thats why I always keep coming back to using Mozilla again. Since I switch browser because of certain features why not Mozilla implement here the same feature – there is this unique features called 'Overide Time' on bromite browser which you can change the time-zones (mask your time) to 'hide' your location. This is one nifty feature I think Mozilla should start implementing here as well as DuckDuckGo extension

Especially if you live with other people, it seems to me it would be helpful to have to use a password to get into your list of passwords on Firefox. As things stand, I have to either log out of Firefox OR my computer in order to prevent someone getting hold of my passwords if I happen to walk away from my desk for a few minutes! ...... Or am I missing something?!!!
