Currently, the sidebar allows account access and switching (tested with ChatGPT), and changing the account in the sidebar also changes the account logged into ChatGPT in my main browser tabs. This presents a problem for users like me who rely on Firefox Containers to manage multiple accounts. My typical setup is: Default (non-container) environment: Logged into my work/school account. Personal container: Used for casual conversations, silly questions, and random chats. The issue is that the sidebar is not container-aware. When I log into my personal account via the sidebar, it also overrides the account in my non-container tabs—disrupting the separation I rely on. Proposed solutions: Enable Firefox Container support in the sidebar, so users can assign container contexts to the sidebar session. Isolate sidebar authentication from main tab sessions, allowing sidebar usage to remain independent regardless of tab logins. Either of these changes would greatly improve the experience for users who juggle multiple accounts and rely on containers for clean separation. ... View more

The new sidebar has great potentiality, you can quickly search bookmarks and history, and extensions such as Side View allow to open any web page in the sidebar. However, it would be more useful if we could pin frequently used websites (e.g. wikipedia, translator, search engine, social media) in the sidebar as separate buttons, to quickly open them and switch between them. This would avoid implementing an option for each popular website (or installing too many extensions), and it would make the sidebar more flexible (similar to Edge and Vivaldi). ... View more

If the Bookmarks sidebar is closed (using the X) the setting should be persistent when Firefox is closed and reopened.  Currently a close/reopen cycle makes it reappear even though the sidebar was closed when Firefox was closed. ... View more

Currently the Firefox desktop Settings or the "about:preferences" page have certain settings categorized. I believe this should be removed and have all settings place on a single page. The issue is the extreme differences in the six categorizes present. "Sync" & "More from Mozilla" side-tab can easily fit into one page. Next in size is "Home" & "Search", while the last two largest side-tabs, "General" & "Privacy & Security", are no where near the previous two sizes. Lots of scrolling and searching can be reduced in categories that seem incorrect to the setting can be avoided if the option is given to let the user decide. ... View more

Would be great to have a button that allows us to quickly show/hide the "Other Bookmarks" bar on Firefox  browser for Desktops. Even better: the bar could show in multiple lines so that we can add even more bookmarks to it. Maybe an "autohide/show" function could work, but it looks like an easily accessible button to trigger it would do an even better job. We would benefit from a more free/clean space (quickly hiding the bar) and a better functionality/user experience (with multiple lines). ... You used to be able to "suggest" colors to use, but allow websites to override them. For example, I could have a bright green background set as a preference, but allow the website to override that preference. This allows a developer to determine if they have properly defined all their colors more easily.  I've attached an image of how it used to work: if the site defined colors, Firefox would use them, but if they did not, you would get the user preference (in the case, green and red for bg and fg colors).
