So we can see if WE did the update or Firefox did it. You might say that if we configured FF to automatically update then... the answer is there. NOT necessarily. Hi! This is certainly going to get a ton of enthusiastic responses 😊 but please hear me out... I read that Google might not be allowed to keep paying Mozilla for making their search default on Firefox (https://tuta.com/blog/will-ban-on-google-payments-kill-mozilla-firefox). Why not make Firefox subscription-based? I for one would be willing to pay 10 euros a month for a good, privacy-respecting, open-source browser, and I don't think I would be the only one. Mozilla could finally be able to dump Google, whose association with Mozilla many of us have watched with distaste, and could concentrate on making a proper browser. (And, if I'm allowed to make requests, a suite of privacy-respecting products: e-mail, storage, calendars etc.) If this would happen it would certainly create howls of anger and accusations of betraying the ideals of open source, but I would much rather pay for Firefox than have Google have anything to say how Mozilla conducts itself. Hey there! Currently, each bookmark can only be stored *once*. That's actually really annoying if you are well-organized! I am an academic teaching multiple courses each year. So I have a really well-structured bookmark folder structure. Since many courses are taught each year, some of the links remain the same (like online platforms that don't change each year). When using filters it would be nice to keep a link to the unread messages after moving in a folder. When using filters to organize incoming messages, the unread messages are automatically moved into folders. It should not only be possible to display the folder "Bookmarks Toolbar" in the Bookmarks Toolbar, but this should be freely selectable. Why? E.g. bookmarks are synced across multiple devices, but the most important pages are different on all devices. This feature, that works in the desktop version, is immensely useful for both users and mail service providers. Our customers has an autoconfig.theirdomain.com DNS records, that means easy setup in Thunderbird, as it knows our servers and settings. Not all people will have Thunderbird installed, and can use the QR scan - Some people will want to use a webmail and on the go, they want a (good) mail app, like Thunderbird. Hello! Please, implement the built-in speed dial, like in Opera and Vivaldi. It's extremely convenient and useful, lots of people need this. I've been using Firefox for more than 10 years and I hate your stupid "Firefox Home" page (sorry) on desktop and Android with icons that add automatically and I can't change and locate. It's inconvenient and completely useless. It would be great if you create something like Opera 12.17 or 12.18 had. In addition, please remove the "close" button in the last tab. I know that I can do it via the "config mode" (browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab), but it's not user-friendly. Example, instead of when choosing the login information (example name.lastname@email.com ) there would be seen an alias of own choosing or ****.*****me@***il.com. Background: Long time user of Thunderbird privately, but forced to use "MS Outlook" at work. Question/feature enhancement request: The only thing I miss in Thunderbird, is the feature to search "related messages". In "MS Outlook", you can right click a message and select "search related / search related in this conversation", which is really useful when you get a lot of emails, you can easily filter out what messages you have sent/received on a subject matter. (See attached screenshot in Swedish, translation is: "sök relaterade = search related, meddelanden i den här konversationen = messages in this conversation" This is a neat feature in "MS Outlook", and the only thing I miss in Thunderbird, would be a great feature if it would be possible to implement. Please consider adding an 'Add language' button in FireFox Settings>General>Language>FireFox Translations>Exceptions window It would be easy to add languages to a list of languages you don't want the browser to offer translations from.
