i have some question to developers(and maybe by this way we, users - can get this features in firefox): Why is Pinch-to-Zoom on touch pad is SO DIFERENT in compare with ctrl + mouse whell up\down? After some time spenden only on laptop, I would like to have "same thing" on desktop PC - but there is no touchpad and if i try to get same thing by ctrl + mouse whell up\down - it is no same! at all. (I understand that this Pinch-to-Zoom function is hardcoded somewhere within the touchpad driver libraries or the system's own libraries for how it works with the touchpad. And, most likely, this function can't be directly exposed to the mouse interface via the API. But is it really that difficult to write a wrapper for this function around the library that would function within the browser itself? So, in the browser itself, it would be possible to choose whether to use the standard scroll wheel(ctrl + mouse whell up\down) or use the scroll wheel like Pinch-to-Zoom on a laptop touchpad. I understand that this is some kind of system library, either in the Windows or Linux operating system itself, or in the touchpad driver. The latest Firefox Beta update on Android revamped the tab navigation menu. Tapping the tab button now opens a menu that fills the entire screen. Using the bottom address bar layout, it puts the opened tabs and the "Private", "Tabs" and "Sync" menu items at the opposite side of the screen, out of reach for the thumb used to open the menu. This change made it completely impossible to navigate tabs using the tab menu with one thumb and without regrabbing the phone.  It would be great if the tab menu ordered tabs and controls from bottom to top, if you're using the bottom address bar layout, similar to how Yandex Browser on Android does: Instead of having to reach around the unused space, here it just gets out of the way. ... Hello. I find Zen Browser's Glance feature very useful. Being able to see what's inside a link with a single click (alt+click,ctrl+click or something) without even opening it, when you search on Google or on websites like Reddit, really saves time and eliminates the hassle of opening and closing multiple tabs one by one. I think the Firefox team would use their resources more effectively if they focused on a feature like Glance instead of Preview. Zen Glance ... View more

I think it would be great if we only had one bar, especially when there is only one tab open. the webpage description on that one tab could be moved to the address bar area, then the minimize maximize and X buttons would need to be brought down to address bar but placed on the far right, to the right of search, then little open areas for grabbing the window to move it would need to be added. there was an extension that did all this a long time ago and it was great but it is no longer supported. the fewer bars we have the more viewable web page area there is. on high resolutions (4k or ultrawide especially) there is lots of wasted space on the tab bar, address bar and search bar. ... When using Thunderbird with iCloud's `contacts.icloud.com` CardDAV server, any avatars that were made via Apple's ecosystem, do not have their avatars rendered correctly. Perhaps iCloud is using an image format, like HEIC that Thunderbird does not support. 4.5 suggestions. having weighted bookmarks for said domain when searching in the address bar? so login and main homepage for the website can appear first. can be had as local. hide bookmarks or what the so called work profiles and other profiles might do, as in having too many bookmarks for 1 domain can clutter search. like from educational to funny media bookmarks to other types. (hoping that profiles get "fully released" soon). when creating a bookmark tagging words and/or domain name automatically + some assist? like if making a bookmark here it would capture "Mozilla.org, forums, ideas" manually exclude the rest or only include what you need if wanting to use those as tags. maybe using the translate tools to know which other "valid words" are easy to add as tags from the address bar. other stuff like, to be able to add tag group related to selected domain that you bookmarked? This feature has saved so much grief and wasted time and focus. It is native in Safari, and if it is also in #firefox, i haven't yet seen it or learned of it. If there is a popup live video you can hide it and then look at the website without the anchored noisy video.  If there is a phony 'your desktop is infected' popup with an invisible frame blocking the whole page, it can be selected and eliminated.  If this feature was to be amazing instead of just integral, it could include crowdsourcing and the ability to subsribe to other's lists of hidden components. Of course there would be a privacy focused way to do this so its not like people can see that someone is blocking lots of popups on foxnews or whatever.  ... View more

Note: using Firefox on PC, I don't know about mobile experience Currently, typing a letter in the Add Tab to Group sub-menu may have 2 effects: A. First letter focus (any letter but G) The first tab group with the typed letter is focused. When typing the same letter again, the next tag group with the typed letter is focused. When typing a different letter, the first tab group with the typed letter is focused (you cannot type a sequence of letters to search by word, for instance, typing "F-I" will focus a tab group starting with "F" then one starting with "I" and not a tab group whose name starts with "Fi"). If no tab group matches the criterion, nothing happens (on Windows, an error sound is played) B. New tab group creation (G) Because the first item `New Group` is bound to G, typing G will start creating a new group, showing a text box appears. From here you can type the name of some new tab group to create. This means it's impossible to search for a tab group whose name starts with G, and it's impossible to search tab group by name. My suggestion is to enable full word search, similar to the currently existing tab/tab group/history/favorite search that appears when you type in the URL bar: 1. In the Add Tab to Group sub-menu, you type a sequence of characters => this shows a mini-search box with the characters you typed 2. Below, the matching tab groups appear, with the most relevant ones at the top. As in the URL bar, the matching parts of the words will appear in bold. 3. Optional: You may have a bonus item "Create new tab group with that name". To avoid bothering users who are satisfied with the first match and want to select it with just enter, put the new tab group item at the bottom: if there are few matches, it will be easy to access with a few down key presses, or one up key press to cycle items; if there are zero matches, it will be the only focusable item and thus automatically selected, so user just needs to press Enter to create New group with that name. This is not enough and cause the same troubles as in YouTube when adding a video to collection: for older tab groups you need to read through and find it, and you're never sure if it really exists or you need to create it first. On YouTube you can at least Ctrl+F the collection name on PC, but here you can't search like that, only type and search the first letter of a group name (I will open another thread about that). My proposal is to have 3 sort modes for the tab groups to find them more easily: Most recent first (the existing one) By alphabetical order (easiest to find any tab group by name) Same order as tab pane (this reflects the actual order of tab groups in the tab pane - easiest for people who ordered their tab groups manually by theme, etc. and who know the order by heart - plus, it makes the action closer to drag and dropping a tab within the tab pane into another tab group with all tab groups folded - also see this suggestion to auto-fold tab groups) Related: Add Tab to Group sub-menu: add search tab group by name since a good search allows to find the tab group we want even if there is no good sorting ... One feature I use a lot is conversation view, where you right-click on the message and 'open' and 'open message in conversation'.
