Not sure if this qualifies as bug report or if it is a feature request to revert back the re-positioning of the pin icon on shortcuts in the New Tab Page since FF139. The new position in the top left corner of the shortcut image is more than ugly and does not have any obvious benefits over its previous position in front of the shortcut name. Why ? Currently, Firefox’s default tab design colors all unselected tabs uniformly (typically white), making it difficult to visually distinguish between multiple open tabs, especially when 20 or more tabs are open. This often leads to accidental clicks on the close (“x”) button or difficulty quickly selecting the desired tab. There are currently no extensions capable of doing this for UNSELECTED horizontal tabs - so presumably it is an extension limitation by design. I propose adding an optional toggle setting (OFF by default) that automatically assigns different background colors to unselected tabs (only the tab bit at the top of the screen) immediately upon opening. The colors could be generated based on domain, tab order, or a consistent color palette, providing immediate visual differentiation without user intervention. Benefits: (AI wrote this bit) Enhances usability for users with many open tabs by making tabs easier to identify at a glance. Reduces accidental tab closures caused by clicking the close button unintentionally. Maintains Firefox’s clean default UI by keeping the feature off by default, respecting users who prefer uniform tabs. Empowers users with greater customization and accessibility options. Linux allows users to only install security updates. Security updates can be installed without installing feature updates. Feature updates sometimes have bugs and causes crashes. Security updates are important because web exploits allow a web browser to be infected with malware. Could you make possible for Firefox users to only install security updates without having to install feature updates? ... View more

The pins that were added in version 139 (Linux) to mark which sites are pinned on the "New Tab" page, should have an OPTION to only show up ON HOVER. They make the page look ugly and uninviting. I spent some time looking for nice icons for websites I go to daily, then Firefox decides to spoil it one day by driving a push-pin into each. I guess I will have to save the new tab page as html, remove those pins, and make it my home and new tab page. After trying this for the first time, as a long time Thunderbird user, I have a few thoughts! 128.10.2esr. Firstly, the initial dialogue is a little unattractive, and I don't know why it needs two steps when the first is "enter the account name" and the second is "this is the information you entered [it's only the account name], please check it". It gives the impression this will be hard to change later. Also, there's no padding between the Back and Finish buttons. Next, once I'd done that, I had no clue what the effect of my action was. It turned out the new account doesn't show up in Unified Folders until you have at least one subscription inside it! This should definitely be fixed - some people, like me, only have Unified Folders enabled. Finally, I had to consult online instructions to work out how to add a subscription. I completely missed the top button row, containing "Manage feed subscriptions", of the Feed account's start screen, because they blend in and don't look like buttons. Hi, Currently Thunderbird for Android has a rather confusing terminology on account sync and push. It is also difficult for onboarding users to find these, as they are at completely different places, and then understand which option controls what functionality.  - Folder poll timing is configured in Settings -> select the desired account -> Folder poll frequency - Push functionality can be enabled in Settings -> select the desired account -> Manage folders -> Select Inbox -> Enable Push Uncertainties / Big question marks from end users' perspective - The poll, sync and push options are both related to message delivery, so they should be accessible from the same location under settings. - Under "Manage folders", there is an "Enable Sync" and a separate "Enable Push" option. This doesn't make a lot of sense, as push is a way to sync your emails. They probably shouldn't be two, independently adjustable options. - Does "Enable Push" ensure emails are delivered, even if "Enable Sync" is disabled in the folder settings? Currently it is possible to disable sync but enable push. - Does "Enable Push" ensure emails are delivered, when "Folder poll frequency" in the account settings (not folder settings) is set to Never? Currently they can be configured completely independently and enabling push creates the expectation of a successful push message delivery regardless of other settings. If working push notification requires sync to be enabled in the folder settings, these settings would be better organised as "Enable Sync" reveals/enables the optional setting "Enable Push", rather than two independent configuration options. Alternatively, if these functionalities are completely separate, for example "Enable Sync" means periodic refresh and pull, while "Enable Push" means, well, push delivery, then "Sync" is not the appropriate word choice here. Hi, Currently, when you reply to an email, the "replied" icon is shows on the left side, before the recipient or subject depending on how the app is configured. Either way, it's on the left edge of the first line.  This creates a visual clutter and also shifts the recipient name to the right, which is out of line compared to other recipients in the same mailbox. This is especially apparent in Unified Inbox, when the account colour indicator pipe "|" character is right next to it. The same applies to the "forwarded" icon. Can we please move these reply characters to the right, next to the attachment icon to reduce visual clutter, and maintain an overall aesthetic that is carried over to all emails regardless of their status.  Thank you! ... Hi Mozilla team, I love Firefox, but the behavior of the Android version feels unintuitive. When I press the back button, I expect the current tab to close if there's no browsing history — like in Chrome, Brave, or other mobile browsers. Instead, Firefox either stays on the page or goes to the start screen, which adds extra steps and slows down usage. It would be great to have a setting like: “Close tab when pressing back with no page history.” This would make Firefox much more efficient and mobile-friendly. Please consider adding this option.
