When I’m reading and scrolling a web page, I usually do it with only one hand. The hand is hovering above my laptop’s trackpad, while the other hand is not close to the laptop. If I’ve scrolled down a long page, I sometimes want to return to the top of the page. I’d like to do that with the least amount of effort. There is a keyboard command for scrolling to top (Fn + Arrow left and Command + Arrow Up are the two options on macOS), but that requires moving my hand or even using both hands. Ideally, I would only have to slide my index finger on the trackpad and tap or double-tap somewhere. I know this sounds silly, like I’m incredibly lazy, but for me, when I repeat the same action over and over again, I want to be able to do that in the most efficient and quickest way possible. So here’s my idea: What if double-clicking the browser tab scrolled the page to the top? As far as I can see, double-clicking the active tab currently does nothing, so Firefox could assign an action to this input.
