Dear Thunderbird Team, I have been using Thunderbird for many months and greatly appreciate the free, open-source email software. Recently, I learned that only about 3% of users donate, and I wanted to contribute a small amount, such as €2. However, I noticed that the minimum donation is €20 for a one-time contribution or €9 monthly. I believe that many users, like myself, use Thunderbird because it’s free and often have limited financial resources. A minimum donation of €20 may be too high for some, discouraging them from donating at all. If you introduce the option to donate as little as €1, more users would likely be willing to contribute. A lower entry barrier would probably increase overall donation rates and bring in more support. I hope you consider this suggestion to further engage the community. There's a message about only installing add-ons if you trust them, but there's no way to actually review the add-on. You can't even download it and open it in your archive manager without first installing and running it in Firefox. Add-ons have their code implicitly readable by their nature. Please consider adding 'Emoji' as a font flag to allow users to select a custom emoji font for displaying websites. Custom per-language font display can currently be selected in GUI via 'Preferences > General > Language and Appearance > Fonts > Advanced > Fonts for…' or through language flags in about:config. What I want to do is add an option for emoji specifically. Custom modification of the UI may be required as there isn't a serif/sans-serif/monospace distinction for the characters. At the very least we currently have the choice between colour and B/W emoji in Noto, in addition to other system default fonts. I believe there should be more customized features with the "right-click: send to AI." Here are the two that would help me enjoy the experience more: Settings to send prompts into a temporary chat (ChatGPT): ChatGPT offers users a way to send prompts into a temporary chat and I believe this a setting we should take advantage of. This means that your "summarize this" and "proofread" prompts won't clutter up your history if you're a frequent user of ChatGPT. If other services offer this, then this should apply to them as well. Customize the right-click menu with user prompts: We should allow users to customize the shortcut prompts to enhance the user experience. Right now the list is limited and would improve if users could create or adjust the prompts to their liking. New Feature. I find it to be a pain to go through my cookies every several days deleting one by one that I don't want, and leaving only my data cookies that log me into certain sites that I visit often. I would love Firefox to implement an easy way to keep my favorite cookies and either manually delete all the rest, or allow Firefox (like in a private window) to delete them all upon exit.  One way this might be done would be to have a little box next to each cookie in the "Manage Data" section of the settings that you could click as to whitelist them from an all out delete. Just a matter of convenience... I believe on a large screen it makes more sense to have fresher tabs closer to the top, the most active area of the browser (all the controls are there), as less eye movement between them is required. ... View more

Currently, there is no easy way to subscribe to updates of all subfolders in the mail client included into the "parent" folder. File -> Subscribe -> I have to click through all the subfolders one by one to renew my subscription. It's inconvenient and time-consuming. There should be an option to delete history from Firefox Sync and across all devices. Right now if I have already sync history. There's no way to delete those sync history. If I disable sync from firefox, it won't sync new history. But as soon as I login from other device and start history sync. Those old history comes back. Progressive Web apps are an important feature of a browser that Firefox is the only one missing. For some, it can be the reason to switch to another browser. It would be helpful if in the next Firefox updates you could set from the settings to automatically clear cookies or browsing history after a certain period of time. Right now the only way to clear the history or cookies is to remember to do the deletion after 2-3 months ... View more

Description: When using Firefox vertical tabs with the "expand on hover" feature enabled, selecting a lower tab while the sidebar is collapsed causes the tab list to scroll to the top — especially when pinned tabs are present and the total number of tabs exceeds the vertical screen height. This makes it harder to track which tab is active and breaks the user experience. Steps to Reproduce: Enable Vertical Tabs in Firefox. Enable Expand on Hover feature for the vertical tab sidebar. Pin a few tabs (e.g., 2–3). Open many tabs (more than what fits the vertical screen height). Collapse the sidebar (so only icons are shown). Click a tab located near the bottom of the list. Sidebar scrolls to the top automatically, instead of focusing the clicked tab. Expected Behavior: When a user clicks on a lower tab, the sidebar should auto-scroll or remain focused on that tab — without jumping to the top of the tab list. Actual Behavior: The sidebar scrolls all the way to the top after selecting a lower tab, hiding the selected tab from view. This behavior only occurs when pinned tabs are present and the sidebar is in collapsed mode with hover-expand active.
