Hello! It seems to me that the traditional placement of buttons and the address bar on the toolbar is outdated and not fast enough - the cursor and the view have to be moved from the center of the screen to its corners all the time. Thanks to the customization options, I placed the main buttons and add-on icons in the center of the toolbar - it turned out to be much more comfortable. It seems to me that this arrangement of buttons can be done by default and it will become one of the distinctive features of the browser. Thanks.       ... View more

Operating System Mac OS High Sierra. Not the latest but still the most recent for all Mac computers that don't have Metal enabled graphics adapters, which is many. Firefox systematically crashes whenever the program is shut down. I've been submitting one report after another, but of course all that is just window-dressing. Nothing is ever done about it. I'm sure those reports just go to the cyber graveyard. So review your code, find out why it doesn't work properly and once and for all fix it. ... View more

Quite often I (presumably many users too) open very many tabs when doing research, I hope that there is a navigation mechanism of somehow, for user to go back to the tabs that pertain to a particular topic or keywords. Perhaps a search box can be added to the pull-down, and one can type in a keyword to locate the page (tab) that contains the keyword. It will be a huge time saver.         ... View more

After trying this for the first time, as a long time Thunderbird user, I have a few thoughts! 128.10.2esr. Firstly, the initial dialogue is a little unattractive, and I don't know why it needs two steps when the first is "enter the account name" and the second is "this is the information you entered [it's only the account name], please check it". It gives the impression this will be hard to change later. Also, there's no padding between the Back and Finish buttons. Next, once I'd done that, I had no clue what the effect of my action was. It turned out the new account doesn't show up in Unified Folders until you have at least one subscription inside it! This should definitely be fixed - some people, like me, only have Unified Folders enabled. Finally, I had to consult online instructions to work out how to add a subscription. I completely missed the top button row, containing "Manage feed subscriptions", of the Feed account's start screen, because they blend in and don't look like buttons. This is a strange design choice because the buttons right below *do* look like buttons, which is misleading. Couldn't they have the same design? Thanks! ... View more

Hello; I would like it if the "Get Messages" button (on the folder pane) could swap positions with the options ellipsis. (see screen grab) Although I have several accounts, there is only one that I use as my main account. (The secondary accounts I only check once or twice a day.) I really like that the folder pane button only gets messages from the account in focus. This saves time over polling all my accounts. (It might seem a trivial delay, but it gradually gets kinda annoying.) Also, the button being an active element of the UI, is more efficient nearer the other active elements, and the menu ellipsis being to the side seems more appropriate relative to it's frequency of use.) Ideally, I'd like toolbar buttons that could be assigned to individual accounts, but moving the existing button would suit me just dandy! Thanks! ... View more

Image thumbnails are rendered as part of the tab preview. It would be nice to have these always visible. This wouldn't be a very popular setting with horizontal tab users, but it's a great fit for vertical tabs.    Several add-ons and other browsers have done this in the past, but as far as I could tell from extensive searching, there's no way to get this functionality today with Firefox. ... If you open a file that's already saved Firefox ask again if open it or save it, and if it's not listed on Applications list it keep asking it. Moreover, every time you click Open it will always ask it when it's reopened on another tab, quite annoying. And then the file that you opened doesn't even appear on the Applications list to choose the main action to it when detected. Every time I open a file not included on the list I click to open it but then when it reopen it on a new tab it ask the same so it's endless, and asking to save it is worthless as it's already saved, not so smart. Maybe the button can cycle between 3 states, one to make the read view fullscreen by hiding the toolbar, one to also hide the vertical tabs, and the last one to return to everything visible, instead of just being 2 states and not being able to hide the new vertical tabs. ... View more

I sometimes mark an email as unread so that I can later remind myself to go back to some important information in the text. In so doing, GMail places a check mark in the left margin box. Often I forget to uncheck the box. Sure enough, before I go back to the message I clean out my Inbox by sending older, no longer needed emails to trash. As currently constructed, ALL emails that I checked for trash AND those that I previously labelled as Unread and forgot to uncheck, are now transferred to Trash. At a later time, when looking for the email that I Marked as Unread, and failing to find it, if I have not yet deleted all trash, I can locate it in the trash. Unfortunately, I often realize that I have deleted the trash before I have rescued the Mark as Unread email--it's gone. Why must the check mark be inserted in the newly Mark as Unread email? It's already in bold type to emphasize that it is unread and a quick look at the topic will remind me that it's one that I saved for re-reading.
