In this proposal, I am referring to this URL: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird/form As a regular volunteer on SUMO, I find that the forum is the recipient of many posts that have nothing to do with support of Thunderbird. Instead, their problems are with the beta, or with donations, or suggestions that should be to the connect.mozilla.org site, or just complaints (which are often accompanied by profanity and insults). Also, the paragraph on being descriptive should relate to typical email issues, as the example there (about youtube) is inappropriate. A sample on being descriptive should include any error messages and information on the account in question (e.g., provider name, such as Gmail, and POP or IMAP). This, in itself, would reduce many posts back and forth to figure out what the individual's issue is.
