Can you please develop a javascript and HTML/CSS engine to use as a modern GUI framework. Something like Chromium and V8 javascript engine. You can make firefox even more popular. Thunderbird is great. Just a suggestion: when you have open a loto of tabs (usually single emails open in new tabs or reaserches or attachements) and you want to close many or all of them is annoying that you start clicking on the "x" to close the first and than move a little to close the other one, and than move again a little to cloes the next one and so on. It would be easier and quicker to  let the tabs' top be all the same lenght when you are closing them so you can do it quickly without moving the mouse and after a few seconds the remains tabs' top could take the original lenght. Today I was dragging a file (icon) from one side of my desktop to the other.  I happened to have Firefox in the middle of my screen with the Google home page open, and had to drag the file I was moving over top of Firefox to the other side of my desktop.  You probably know where this is heading....  Google has a nice feature:  the "drag an image here or upload a file" box popped up, which would happily automatically grab my file, upload it to Google, and do a search on it for me.  To be fair, this particular Google page would only upload something with a common image extension, not just any file, but you can easily extend this example to any other "drag and drop to upload {any file you like}" scenario on some other website.  If I had accidentally released the mouse button over top of Firefox, my file would have inadvertently gone public!  It occurred to me that if it was a private picture or any sort of personal information, that I had just done a potentially DANGEROUS thing dragging it over Firefox. Important feature request for privacy, security, and safety sake... If possible, please add an option (perhaps defaulted to true), to prompt before uploading a file that is dropped on top of Firefox. Think:  If I were a Black Hat and casting a wide net on click-bait or other sketchy websites, it would be so simple to add this as another "trap" on all of my pages, hoping somebody might fly over with a file in their hand and accidentally dropping it.  Ooops! ... Thunderbird runs filtering on all the email together only after all are downloaded. We have to look at all the unwanted emails listed in the inbox until all downloading is complete. Instead, it should apply filter on each email as soon as it is downloaded, before the next email is downloaded, before listing in the inbox, so we only look at the good ones in the inbox. Sometimes we are waiting to see a specific sender's email, but it gets mixed with others, then have to wait until all the download is complete for filter to apply. It is obvious in pop3. ... Hello.As a person who doesn't really care about Tab pickup in Firefox View,I believe it should save your action of whether you've opened it or closed it by clicking on the arrow,so there's more space for the Recently closed section(Or you might not want to have it keep opening when you close and open Firefox.).I believe there should even be an option to remove that part from Firefox View altogether,like clicking on a "Don't show me again" window.Maybe an "X" on the top right of the Tab pickup element,to the right of the arrow with which you cause that prompt to appear. Way too often, when I go to click in the top email in my list, I accidentally click the Subject bar - which immediately re-sorts all my mails by Subject! Since changing your mail sorting order seems a relatively infrequent requirement, wouldn't it make sense to make it harder to do by accident? Say, Ctrl- or Shift-click instead to sort? ... View more

If global-messages-db.sqlite is not accessible for whatever reason Thunderbird will just get stuck on a blank pane screen that doesn't allow you to access Account Settings or any other relevant option. (see example: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1379540 ) Checking error console only gives you several "Uncaught TypeError: gFolderDisplay is null" . My suggestion is that when this happens a specific error message be presented in the error console or popup dialog pointing out that the database file is not accessible or corrupt. I think it should be possible to manually set the location exposed by the geolocation api in the settings menu, instead of having to do it in about:config. Of course manually setting it might be necessary in cases the geolocation isn't working properly - in my case it was 160 km off, rendering the feature useless for most websites - or is just not wanted. ...
