Currently (v120.8), when one right-clicks on a sender's eMail address in the header and selects "Add to Addressbook", the contact is created in the Personal Addressbook which, in my case, contains nothing because I use Google Contacts so my default addressbook (and there's a checkbox for the default setting) is that addressbook. So the added contact ends up in the wrong addressbook and I have to remember to manually drag that contact record from the "Personal" to the Google Contacts addressbook. I imagine one might consider this a bug but, if it's not, how about changing TBird's behavior to respect the "default" addressbook? ... View more

When using filters it would be nice to keep a link to the unread messages after moving in a folder. When using filters to organize incoming messages, the unread messages are automatically moved into folders. With lot of folders, there is a risk not to see new messages as they are automatically  moved. It would be nice to keep a link to them in a "unread incoming" box. Many thanks ! ... View more

It should not only be possible to display the folder "Bookmarks Toolbar" in the Bookmarks Toolbar, but this should be freely selectable. Why? E.g. bookmarks are synced across multiple devices, but the most important pages are different on all devices. Some Appointments are more important than others. I would find it helpful, if there would be - for example - 3 or 5 importance levels to choose for appointments to set while typing in a new appointment. These levels should be shown in the popup alarm window as well, so that the most important appointments can be seen immediately. Maybe the levels could be shown in colors from green over yellow to red (when 3 levels are active - or e.g. grey - green - yellow - orange - red if 5 levels are given). The standard level should always be the lowest (3 levels) or second lowest level (5 levels) to let new appointments been down- or upgraded. I believe extensions (not addons) would be nice to have, like the ability to add PDF editing functionality directly to the browser after downloading it or maybe image editing functionality, web-design functionality (not like firefox dev but more like squarespace) all the way to like normal desktop applications directly in the browser possibly in a way that leverages the browser's already integrated functionalities and saves space while doing so, i believe they should also be fully seperate from add-ons and have their own page and etc. ... I have always desired Thunderbird to automatically start running upon logging into the computer, ensuring that I never miss any emails and receive them promptly. In Firefox Mobile, when you add a new bookmark with the ⭐ button, you have to scroll through the entire list of folders where you are going to place the bookmark. It would be useful to have instead a search bar that filters only the folders that contain the search name. Also as additional information it would be useful to show for each search result, show the absolute path of the directory in order to understand where add the new bookmark. Currently the Downloads window/view looks like this: As you can see, it's not very intuitive. Some suggestions: Implement thumbnails or a preview for images/vids Provide an improved file name for downloads, perhaps including the website name instead of randomstring.jpg (avoid duplicate/useless file names) Embed metadata, eg URL of page the image/vid was downloaded from Allow us to save images (or other stuff) directly (instead of Save As, confirm filename, OK) - I used to use an addon for this but it doesn't work anymore Could include some AI for naming images, eg colours or animals could be "guessed" or identified (I admit this is a bit of a wild suggestion!) Please consider adding an 'Add language' button in FireFox Settings>General>Language>FireFox Translations>Exceptions window It would be easy to add languages to a list of languages you don't want the browser to offer translations from. A user.js file is handy for configuring Firefox settings, especially for mass deployment and/or to save having to hunt through about:config etc. As far as I'm aware, you're restricted from setting the search engine via user.js or even about:config, even though you can set almost any/every other setting this way. As a Designer, I use a lot the Eyedropper tool, from the More tools tab. I and many other creative folks would really appreciate it if you could make it easier to reach the tool. I'm constantly annoyed by the history tab on my phone. When I visit several Wikipedia pages one after the other for example, they're grouped together in a folder that's named after whatever first search query I made. I don't see any way to turn this off. While the idea of folders is great, I would want this as a manual option only, and with custom names. Additionally, I'd also like to be able to delete forwarding pages from my history from my phone. I do this on my PC which I have synced by entering "." into the history search bar and manually deleting them but otherwise I'm stuck using the search function on my phone even for pages I visited recently, which is often full of forwarding pages I haven't gotten around to deleting yet. I would like to suggest the following function as very useful for an improved sense of security with the master password. The master password would have to be given a defined period of validity in a setup. After this time, e.g. 10 minutes, you have to enter the master password again when requested. When the browser.tabs.loadBookmarksInBackground flag is set to true, you can open bookmarks in new tabs without switching to them by middle-clicking or right-clicking and selecting 'Open in New Tab'. However, whenever you do this in a bookmark folder, the folder closes. Meaning that if you wanted to quickly middle-click open a few tabs, you would need to re-click on the folder each time. The suggestion is to change the behavior so that the folder does not close when opening in a new tab, similar to how this works in other browsers. ... View more

Hello. On the bookmarks toolbar I have many bookmarks that are nested in subfolders. For example, in google chrome I can open a subfolder and open several bookmarks I want with a middle mouse button click, i.e. the wheel. But if you try to click on a bookmark with the wheel in Firefox, the subfolder will immediately close and a new page will come to the foreground, so you can't open several bookmarks at once, you will have to open a subfolder each time. Users should have to explicitly select that they want to use a search engine. The options should allow a user to select "none" as a default for search engine, so that it has to be selected and so that the address bar is not improperly used for searches.
