Andy Fidel had the idea of hosting twitter chats directly from inside a Hubs space and I would like to propose this concept generally as a feature/plug-in for the social platform of your choice in Mozilla Hubs. As a user, I can broadcast my camera and the room audio to a chosen social platform so that others outside of those with a room link have a way to access, share and discover the event. #Thunderbird The ability to add User-Defined Unified Folders. Example 1: People are sent receipts and registrations from many places. They set up a "Receipts and Registrations" folder. These need to be able to be on line where they are backed up and available from multiple their devices, something local folders cannot provide. Example 2: Adding to Example 1: Small business has visibility of multiple email accounts for employees. They check "Receipts and Registrations" for the week to post to purchase orders or to reconcile credit card accounts, plus maintain proper documentation for an accounting audit. They can search across multiple accounts for the paperwork. Firefox seems to create bookmarks by default on the 'new tab' page.  While this is handy for returning to previously used sites, there are sites for which you might NEVER want the browser to create a bookmark.  In my case, Id like to be able to select and prohibit the creation of such bookmarks for any site associated with the financial firms I do business with -- banks, brokers, and crypto prominently among this list.  I think of this as a security measure [I also don't allow these sites to 'trust' my computer and routinely use two factor authentication].  Seems to me that it would also be useful if Firefox did not create any bookmark to a payment site but this would require detecting that the page accessed is a payment site .... ... When an image on a website is updated, the old image seems to be unloaded before the new image is displayed. During image streams, like the ones some older live webcams do, this results in a flickering "video", which makes it seem the stream is stuttering. As far as I understand the process for updating image data is as follows: image 1 rendered -> load image 2 -> unload image 1 -> render image 2 in place of image 1 instead the process should be: image 1 rendered -> load image 2 -> render image 2 "above" image 1 -> unload image 1 this would remove flickering to black and therefore reducing the apparent "stuttering" for an image stream. Google Chrome and Safari don't have this problem and the streams look much nicer there. I don't think this is a bug but rather an enhancement, so I'm posting this here. ... View more

I cannot send out email in Thunderbird client. But sent in Mobile App with same SMTP server successfully. At last, I found the Mobile App client had SSL Certs (Accept all)" selected. Can Thunderbird add SMTP option to "Accept All SSL/TLS certs" to make connection success always?   ... View more

Hey. I would think it would be helpful to connect my phone to Thunderbird. Like how I can use Messages in my Firefox browser, or how windows does Phone link. If Thunderbird gets rewritten I can imagine at least for some time most addons will not work anymore. I am sure a mailprogram doesnt need to be an entire browser, but changing its foundation, while Addons are already pretty few, could strip many of its needed features DKIM verifier: this is essential and should always be integrated. It works on nearly all mailservers. No reason not to integrate it by default Some carddav support for syncing contacts with Android. K9mail works perfectly like that, Thunderbird should allow syncing from a local .vcf file too Reply with Subadress: essential when using aliases and not wanting to accidentally use the wrong alias on a mail Thunderbird conversations: This will hopefully be completely integrated, not only showing received but also sent messages. Mails are used like Chat very often, and not having threads is horrible. Simple Template, mail templates. Mail programs like outlook for sure support this. Mails always look the same, especially if you are writing from a business with complex templates. Having this in TB is essential Send Later: This addon is very broken but solves an important feature currently standing out from Mailspring. Currently Thunderbird supports system tray on Windows - just close the software and an icon will be presented on Windows system tray. Unfortunately this feature is missing on Linux. In past there were several plugins to do that, like several versions of Minimize-to-tray, however the plugin technology for Thunderbird (and Firefox) has changed over time, and these plugins are no longer supported. Currently if I want to use this feature on Linux I need install an additional software like systray-x or KDocker, which it is weird. So, please turn this feature native for Linux too! ... View more

Thunderbird already has the support for ClientID, a Transparent 2FA mechanism, but it currently requires enabling this feature using the Config Editor... manually. This feature request is for having Thunderbird/K9-Mail automatically prompt the user to use CID (ClientID) two factor authentication when the mail server advertises support for CLIENTID. And if the user selects "Yes" to enabling ClientID support for the email account, the relevant "clientidEnabled" entries (in Config Editor) are set to "true" automatically. Now that more and more email platforms are supporting CLIENTID, the sooner end users or customers can be protected with a Transparent 2FA the better. Especially for those operators who are not able or interested in implementing a form of OAuth. Two Factor authentication/identification is best used when it is as transparent to the end user as possible. It would be very nice if we could have Vim Mode natively in Thunderbird. There use to be a plugin some time ago that added the feature but it does not work with newer versions of Thunderbird. I think that opens an opportunity to add a valuable improvement to the Thunderbird experience on the desktop. ... View more

Hi there, I would like to have the "URL block" feature in the Firefox Focus browser It would block any connection with every URL I manually set. I can enable if I would want to block any subpages of the domain (https://example.site/* instead of only https://example.site/) I have an app that blocks any domain that I set the app to block for me, but I wanted to block only one page of the site. (e.g. I wanted to block https://example.site/article1/ but the app blocked https://example.site/*) Not a single third-party app that I tried from Google Play worked exactly how I want, and I can't install any extensions to Firefox Focus, not even url blockers. Problem: When opening PDFs in Firefox that feature fillable fields for text, entering too many characters for the field will result in the text getting cut off as shown in the attached image. Hi, thanks for a great product! In the inbox "From"-field shows the name of the contact that did send me an email. When I update the contact name in the addressbook the name of this contact does not seem to be updated in the inbox list. I propose to improve the copy/paste functionality from Thunderbird. Ideally - as a default - formatted text should be pasted and adapt to standard settings in terms of... Text size Font type (Serif/Sans/fixed width) Line spacing Bold/underline/italic/trikethrough Basic list settings As option (via right-click menue): allow to paste a text with all its formatings. Why I propose this: Often when quickly pasting a text into the Thunderbird text ediitor, the text becomes almost unreadable (tight line spaces, too small text size) and formating breaks once the text is edited.
