I really like the ability of creating multiple Address Books based on the user's needs. In my case, and I believe it isn't too uncommon, I've created an Address Book with contacts that I will rarely, if ever, contact or from whom I would be contacted, but that I keep just in case. I propose that we be allowed to Hide user generated Address Books. There's many ways it could be done: as a check-mark in the pop-up to edit an Address Book (who would gain another purpose other than just editing its name), or a right-click / three-dots contextual option. Furthermore, not only should the Address Books be out of sight, but I think the contacts populating them should also be hidden from the All Address Books directory, since in hiding those lists of contacts, we're actually hiding the contacts themselves. ... Currently in full screen mode, toolbar is always 'inserted' on top when mouse hovers and all the page content gets reshaped, resized constantly which looks ridiculous especially on youtube and its video player.. Recently, I had to use an Apple computer and it had the ability of suggesting passwords that are "easy to type", which seems to also be available on other platforms (https://support.apple.com/en-al/guide/ipad/ipadd11f1468/ipados). Something similar on Firefox would be really helpful since I sometimes have to type my passwords between devices for which I don't want to store passwords (public computers), but also have trouble typing the currently suggested passwords (generally hard to type or may have special characters not present on the keyboard, such as umlaut), so I have to resort to some unsecure alternatives, such as copying or mailing my own passwords. ... In Firefox desktop browser, Ctrl + k will focus the address bar so you can type in a web search. I've noticed same keyboard shortcut does nothing in the Show All History interface. Ctrl + k is in my muscle memory, and I sometimes invoke it in History search (to no avail!). I think it would be very handy for Ctrl + k to focus the Search History box in History search in the same way it already focuses the Address Bar in the browser proper. In previous versions of Firefox, if I wanted to use the default search engine to search a particular word present in the current page, I could just select the word and press the left mouse button and then drag it a bit before releasing the left mouse button, then the search results would pop up in a new tab. Firefox is completely bloated. There is no unified way to do things, for example there are like three places where you can add the currently visited site as a bookmark. This is no needed, any I guess most users can live with just using the icon in the adress bar. There is a Project called SimpleMenuWizard which includes lots of UserChrome.css enabling you to make Firefox less cluttered. Do not disable UserChrome.css support! I just want to say that. It is deactivated by default, and called legacy. I dont know why but this is a huge power of firefox, disabling it would make firefox less attractive Set "User modes" for these things. Firefox is completely bloated and people cant be forced to go to "the dangerous about:config", enable a LEGACY feature, find a place (not documented at all!) where the correct UserChrome.css settings are listed, modify them correctly and then have a browser looking normal Normal users have to be able to use this simpler menu feature easily, not more hard. There should be checks where you can enable "I am a developer, I actually want to inspect sites". Who does that? I guess 90% of users dont, also there are many many different ways to access this feature. Inspecting usability and barrier-free-ness is also not a default thing, as well as sending things per mail. Also things like copy, paste, select all could be left out, as there are well known shortcuts everyone knows. There has to be an opt-in opt-out preference differentiation. Advanced features should be opt-in, others should be opt-out. Unify ways to do things... There are 3 ways to do all sorts of stuff, and it seems there is no structure on just leaving some out Give users access to all your UserChrome.css configs! Maybe also add presets users can switch between, there are really great layouts many people like. This is such a powerful feature but its incredibly hard to use. Hello everyone, I'm not sure how common that is, but I have well organized bookmarks. What I'm missing is a easy-to-use bookmark search that allows me to manly use my keyboard. The Problem right now is, that the bookmarks are at the bottom of the search results in the search bar. Adding an option to prioritize bookmarks would be an easy solution. I'm aware that '*' filters for bookmarks, but I'd still like the option since it would make the workflow a bit smother. The auto select part, when pressing enter, would save one key press (arrow down) and make the workflow a lot smother (imo). ... View more
