In the old Outlook 2013 email filters there was an option not only to move to trash but to immediately delete that email. Like many people I have multiple email accounts and I see the same spam messages over and over. I may have the same spam message multiple times in the same account. Used to be an option in older versions. You used to be able to select multiple folders at once to move or delete them. Our workflow (and I imagine others' as well) centers around moving folders for customer jobs through various stages so you can see at which stage a job is just by looking at the master folder it's located in. When in "Layout > Vertical View" mode, and switching the Thunderbird window from one (small) screen to another (big) screen, the ratio between the "Inbox pane" and the "Message pane" is not preserved. The current behavior seems to be that the width (in pixels) of the "Message pane" is preserved. Which means making the "Inbox pane" increase dramatically when moving from a smaller screen to a bigger screen, effectively leaving a big unused space. I think the behavior in Thunderbird < 115 was to keep the ratio between both panes. Another behavior that could fit is to preserve the width in pixel of the "Inbox pane" rather than the width of the "Message pane". As far as I know there is no possibility to Detach or Delete (nor Ccompress) inline (embedded) attachments (images) in Thunderbird. For now, the only options (right click) on inline images are "Copy Image" and "Save Image As..". Please add "Detach embedded Image" and "Delete embedded Image" (and may be "Compress embedded Image"). The current vertical card view feels a bit cramped when trying to identify an email by the sender, even in expanded view. It would be nice if there was a little more padding on top and bottom of the message cards in vertical view. The ability to make the sender the focus of an email card rather than the subject would also be nice, especially when receiving replies to Bcc emails. Similar to the spacing view in Mac Mail, where the Sender stands out, and the subject is still easily readable at a glance. ... View more

My eyes are not as good as they once were and I need reasonably large text.  In the classic view it would be very helpful if there was a hot key to turn off / on the messages headers when I am reading an email.  Most of the time I do not need to see these.  As of now the headers take up a lot of screen space and I can fine no way to compact or hide them. ... I would like the ability to set an expiration date on an email, and the ability to view or delete emails when past the expiration date. Why? Some emails have an offer that expires on a certain date. It would be great, if Thunderbird could remember the quick filter setting on a per folder basis. In macOS Mail I can set certain folders to only show "unread" messages (e.g. mailing lists, or daily maintenance emails, etc.) and in others I might only be interested in another subgroup of emails. Making the quick filter sticky is not what I need there, as different folders need different treatment. For me, this is mostly about only ever showing unread messages in certain folders, but there could be other useful cases. ... View more

Coming from GMail I have Swipe Left set up to delete the selected message. When I do so there's a confirmation message "1 message deleted" with an Undo button. I have fat fingers and used it often. It would be really useful to easily to get back a message I inadvertantly or mistakenly deleted. While it can be done now, it's a multi-step process. ... View more

On OSX, it is possible to see a preview of the documents in the finder. It has been implemented in the Postbox version of Thunderbird. That would definitely be a plus on the mac. ... View more

Hello, These buttons need to be reordered with some separation.  I find that I sometimes select "Junk" by accident instead of "Delete."  In my opinion, both "Junk" "Archive" and "More" should be separated from the remaining common use buttons and a bit of space should be added between buttons to reduce mouse-drift induced  unintended selections.  Just my 2 cents. ... It would be nice to have all the accounts listed in a slim vertical panel on the left hand side when viewing on a tablet in landscape orientation. This would allow quick selection of the account to view. It would be necessary to indicate if that account has unread messages. An example of such use is Samsung Mail. the tile display mode is very effective but too "flat" visually: it is not possible to customize the color of the tiles and the colored icons (labels, follow-ups) are too small to jump out at the eyes and identify a particular message more quickly. moreover the use of the chromeCSS file is not effective in this display mode in thunderbird So is it possible that the message tiles are the same color as the label tiles. ...
