Before starting, yes adaptive history is turned on, and with enough characters this behavior will engage, but the threshold is still too long.  In the  below example, I have cleared all history and saved data.  I have a bookmark to the youtube subscription page, and have directly visited that URL 3 times via entry inside the urlbar. With three letters typed, the autofill is still stopping at the base URL and not supplying the bookmarked and previously visited URL.  The full subscription URL will not autocomplete until 5 characters are entered:   ... Hello, since new update of thunderbird mail box it appears that searching mode is really unfriendly, could you please improve it or go back to previous concept for this part of the box? It is really easier to find an email when searching mode is dedicated to one email address or a file and allows to find a name in senders list or a word in emails directly with a filter of concerned emails (a little bit like outlook). At this very moment i have 2000+ tabs open. Why? The Case When i do research i might find information i want to read later (which i open in new tabs), but i might also create a path of thoughts and keywords i want to review at a later date. The thought process is often the most valuable part of research. The Problem Firefox will only store the history of a tab as long as it's opened. Closing the tab will destroy any insights in the route i took to get there. I could use a session manager to store this data, but then i cannot search for the tab anymore. Suggestion The only simple solution i can think of is to have an option to store the tab history alongside a bookmark and make that information searchable. ... View more

I just find it not really neat to have the search engine icon on the left of the search bar. I get that its for switching search engines, but it makes me wonder how many ppl actually change their search engines often enough that there has to be a button for that on the screen all the time. I don't ask to completely remove it, just add an option to remove it, or automaticaly hide it when the user deselects all the search engine options from the settings. ... View more

I've recently made the switch to Firefox as my default browser on Android, for convenient syncing, as it's my default browser on my Linux desktop. there's one ingenious Chrome feature I miss in my mobile experience. that is the 'Contextual Search' or 'Touch to Search'. I think it can be done better in Firefox mobile. it's a multifunctional bar that pops from the bottom (within a convenient thumb-reach), that can do numerous things: run a quick search, on top of your viewed tab, of a highlighted term. display a dictionary definition of the highlighted term (incredibly useful when reading articles). or if a whole sentence is selected, it shows a full translation of it to your language. open links in a pop up preview panes (which is very time saving when browsing through a blog/magazine or doing a research, when you want to peek into a page or article to see if it's for your liking).    edit, a suggestion I came up with: would love to hear your thoughts 🙂 ... built-in reverse image search in context menu? right click an image in browser. ..we already have open in new tab/window etc.. so a reverse image search option seems like a good fit. It wont make it in probably as there might be a whole slew of rights problems, but there are a number of reverse image search services, so automating the process could make things a bit easier.   ... With the DMA in the EU Google added a new search engine choice screen, but when a user chooses a different option than Google, it automatically installs their web browser and sets it as the only way to search with that service, driving users away from Firefox. The solution would be to add Firefox as an option to that list along with the other browsers (such as duckduckgo or ecosia browser) so that the user can decide to use for example duckduckgo through Firefox instead of their browser. I would be interested in a feature that would enable users to search for the desired destination folder in the pop-up that appears when you want to add a bookmark. I have so many folders, and sub-folders, and the pop-up window is only big enough to show 7 at a time. one way is to continue pressing up in the search bar, takes you to the settings in the bottom right and then through the search engines and then to the Firefox Suggest. Shift+cursor keys just does text selection Pressing alt+(left/right) just switches the search engine but doesn't allow movement outside it. When writing in the "Filter messages" field, there used to be an "x" at the far right of the field box and by clicking on it you could delete the whole content of the field box so that the filtering would stop and all the messages would be shown again. Now this "x" is gone and you have to keep pressing backspace to delete the field box's content. It is not that important but it was really convenient, so I would appreciate it if it would return.
