Dear Mozilla Team,
As a long-time user of Firefox and someone who regularly assists less tech-savvy individuals, I would like to offer urgent feedback: Firefox needs to become significantly more beginner-friendly again.
The intuitive drag-and-drop feature for saving bookmarks, for example, was a crucial tool, especially for inexperienced users. They could easily drag pages into their bookmarks bar without having to navigate through complex menus. Unfortunately, this feature was removed, much to the disappointment of many of my clients and myself. For beginners who want to work quickly and effortlessly, this feature was irreplaceable.
In my role as an IT supporter, I often need to provide immediate solutions. I cannot rely on the hope that a future update might fix such problems—this only leads to frustration among users and weakens their trust in Firefox. I've noticed that more and more users are switching to other browsers that are simpler to use due to these decisions.
I urge Mozilla to put user-friendliness, especially for beginners, back at the forefront and to restore features like drag-and-drop for bookmarks. It would be a shame to see such a great browser like Firefox lose users because of such changes.
Thank you for considering this feedback. I hope Mozilla continues to be a browser that stands out for its ease of use and innovative features.
Best regards,
dieEule
