Hello, I would love that in the message panel one more of the options be Translate. I currently use Unofficial DeepL translate extension, but I need to select the text and choose the last option from the floating panel and it just opens in a new tab. Apple's Mail on iOS has this feature where it memorizes where you move messages to. I think, it is somehow based on subject/recipient/sender. It would be nice to have that in Thunderbird, on top of the "Move to 'foo' again" where it only uses the last moving location for the previous message. ... View more

I am receiving so much emails and if I haven't read them before they are coloured blue in bold font. If I have read them but not answered them yet, they are black in bold font. If the program does crash or has to be closed by some reason while there are still messages in blue, they are black after the restart although I have not read them yet.  For me it would be really helpfull if the really never read messages do keep visible as unread ( so that they keep the blue colour ) and that if I read it I could change the colour of it to a color which I know what to do. Do for example; if I have read it, but not answered it yet and have no time at that moment, but later, I want to color them as red or yellow, or whatever color. Hi everybody, My idea is on future versions of Thunderbird. If someone wants to customize the selected folders in the properties of an existing virtual folder, I think the option "Select all folders" would be very helpful. Hey Please give us a option disable opening pdf in mozilla thunderbird directly or option to choose which program will open them. Implemented reader is slow. There is often problem with opening pdf files - last very long to open files and if there is more pages program open them very slow - way slower than standard program. Your implemented reader need some time to be improved. For now its just pain to use, especialy if i have a lot of work and need to work quickly.  Thanks   ... View more

It's frustrating not being able to set a remote address book as the default, in Thunderbird's settings. Whenever adding a new contact, particularly from a received message, when clicking on the address book icon, it will use the local Personal Address Book by default. One has to then Edit it either there, or drag the entry between the Personal and Remote address book within the Address Book manager. Short Version In TB Calendar's Event Description field, I'd love it if the former plain-text editor could be resurrected via a new toggle/checkbox option in Settings (or in Config Editor), so we're not forced to use the new rich-text editor. Long Version I use Calendar Events a lot, especially the free-form Description box where I enter lots of notes and to-do's. In TB 78.x, the big Description area/box/field was a plain-text editor. It worked *flawlessly*. (I'm on MacOS 11.7.x, btw.) But when I upgraded to TB 91.x (and now 102.x) , it became a rich-text editor. I don't mind that in itself, but the rich-text editor has a handful of bugs that make it difficult to copy-paste and edit the data in that Description box reliably. Very frustrating. I talk more about these bugs in this Mozilla Connect thread here. It would be great if the former plain-text editor could still be an option, via a new toggle/checkbox control in Settings (or an entry in Config Editor). Since all the old plain-text-editor code must still exist (currently deactivated), presumably reactivating it as a user option shouldn't be a large development chore (I hope!), and would hopefully continue providing bug-free UI/editing for those of us on MacOS who don't need rich-text features.
