I lead a local history group and I send all the members a newsletter every week, but I also send messages to some members individually. If I search for messages I've sent to an individual person, I also get all the messages I've sent to ALL the group members. I was thinking about this over the last few days and I think there is an opportunity to really improve the Attachment UX in Thunderbird Mobile.  I attached pictures of each step and then a gif showing the UX in action. My thought is that the message header will have an attachment icon, and if you tap the attachment icon a tray that slides in from the right (similar to the accounts tray that slides from the left) will contain the message attachments.  I think this could be a really great user experience. Hey friends, A feature which exists on most email apps (at least Outlook) is that when a legitimate email/sender falsely gets sent into the spam folder, one can choose to say the sender is safe, meaning the email automatically gets put back into the regular inbox, and all of the same sender's future emails land in the regular inbox instead of the spam folder. My drafts folder slowly accumulates drafts that I did finally finish and send. Being hyper cautious... when I want to clean up the Drafts folder I work mail by mail, searching for one with the same Subject in the Sent folder to confirm that the draft is no longer needed. Using Thunderbird with external Dav ressources like nextcloud has some glitches especially if you are collobarting in a bigger group. It creates load on a server if a bigger group is synching their calendars each X minutes. It creates confusion if a client syncs in a longer period because people think the current state of a subscribed calendar is exactly the same like it is on the server. Today in Thunderbird, search results always appear first in a totally-unhelpfully-cluttered view with unhelpfully-truncated details/excerpts. Extremely few results fit on a single screen height this way, and the information/context provided with each result is woefully insufficient to identify if I've found the right thing. The vastly superior "show search results as list" option is always an additional click away. I say "vastly superior" because it actually shows far more results on-screen at a time, in a tabular/columnar format that makes it MUCH easier to determine the relevant details of each item, making it far faster to skim the results to find exactly what I was looking for. I always prefer this "show search results as list" view. Sadly and frustratingly, there doesn't appear to be any setting to make "show search results as list" the default behavior for all searches so that I can bypass the useless "not-a-list" search results page. The lack of such a setting is, frankly, stupid. Please add a global setting for this, along with a checkbox or pop-up dialog or something so that the first time I click that "show search results as a list" link, it offers to let me ALWAYS show ALL search results as lists by changing the global setting for me in-context. Regardless of email account (right now I've got 4 hooked up to Thunderbird), I want to be able to tell Thunderbird something like "Emails tagged 'Promotional' should be deleted after 2 weeks". Hello all, as the Folders panel was short of space, I just decided to get rid of the folders 'Sent', 'Draft', 'Archive', 'Notes', etc ... that clutter the space : to do this I checked as 'Favorite' each of the folders that I wanted to keep on display, and in the "Modes" menu, I unchecked "All folders", and checked instead "Favorites folders". Great ! I was really happy with the result 😎, ... but I got the disappointment at the moment I wanted to open one of the folders to access the content of the sub-folders : there was no sub-folder and no way to access the sub-folders 😭 I am probably supposed to check as favorite every and each sub-folder also, but this is beyond my reach, as I have plenty of them !
