In RFC 7986 iCalendar Property Extensions October 2016 a new COLOR property was defined. Currently, the event color in "VEVENT" is nor used as background color of the event. Although it is only a MAY, it would be nice to have the events displayed in their event color.   5.9. COLOR Property Property Name: COLOR Purpose: This property specifies a color used for displaying the calendar, event, todo, or journal data. Value Type: TEXT Property Parameters: IANA and non-standard property parameters can be specified on this property. Conformance: This property can be specified once in an iCalendar object or in "VEVENT", "VTODO", or "VJOURNAL" calendar components. Description: This property specifies a color that clients MAY use when presenting the relevant data to a user. Typically, this would appear as the "background" color of events or tasks. It would be very helpful if I could generate a report listing past events and tasks by category.  If that's not possible, even just a simple report showing a line for each event with columns for the various data, (start time, end time, name, category, etc.) would really help.  I could export that report into Excel and sort as needed. ... When you accept an email invitation for an event while you have multiple calendars setup, you get a dialog which calendar to use for this event. But, this dialog may appear anywhere. In my case, it tends to appear on another screen than the one I was working on, in a corner. Not very visible. As the dialog is modal, the rest of the application becomes unresponsive to input.  The dialog should appear on the same screen and preferably overlaid on the window the action was triggered from, to improve the UI flow.  ... The new correspondents column has too much information now that the email address of the sender is displayed next to the sender name. I would like for the correspondents column to only have the name. Currently Thunderbird can sync simple text notes provided by some e-mail services as IMAP folders. It would be nice if it could also edit them. The "iOS IMAP Notes" addon seems to allow editing iCloud/Gmail Notes but doesn't work for other providers such as Exchange (Outlook.com/Sticky Notes). As a workaround you can compose a message, save it as draft and then move the draft to the Notes folder, but it doesn't seem to sync back to server. ... View more

I am subscribed to multiple calendars from cloud providers and I would prefer this behavior (similar to classic Outlook for Windows): show regular calendars (such as Personal, Work, Birthdays, ...) in the Calendar tab only show tasks calendars (such as Google Tasks or Exchange/Outlook.com Tasks) in the Tasks tab only Thunderbird allows to hide calendars or completely disable them from the Properties dialog, but this change applies to all tabs, it's not possible to show different calendars in the Calendar and Tasks tab unless I'm missing something. ... If the `mail.biff.show_tray_icon_always` option is enabled, it would be nice if the tray icon would support three cases: - TB is minimized => show TB - TB is not minimized but not focused => TB is brought to front - TB is focused => TB is minimized Currently, the first two options are already done like that, but in the last case clicking the tray icon just does nothing. It would be awesome if in that case TB is minimized to the tray. This way you can for example click on the tray icon, have a quick look on the situation, and right away hide TB again by just clicking again where your mouse already is, if nothing further is to be done right now. ...
